Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The location In Jerusalem was central to everything we planned to do. The included breakfast was a plus that should not be missed. The shower was great with a rain head and a hand held head.

South KoreaTheir small room for two days.
This time, I had a wonderful room with spacious and some kind of nice view outside. The breakfast was always enjoyable, specially on Saturday. The place of the hotel was great to visit Jaffa Gate and the shopping mall back and forth. I strongly recommend this hotel.

United KingdomWe were joing a group staying at this hotel, hence the additional one-night booking prior to our tour commencement. We felt the hotel was "tired" and needed upgrades to the rooms and decor. Many colleagues felt the same way.
The Israeli staff were quite pleasant and helpful; the breakfast buffet was perfect

United KingdomThe staff were very unfriendly and difficult when there was a problem. The rooms were extremely drafty because the window frames were fitted poorly. There was a whistling noise as the wind blew through the windows. We had to move rooms but lots have this problem. The rest of the hotel was dated and dusty. I would not stay here again

CanadaWe were not informed that Canadian citizens were subject to the 15 percent VAT. My husband has been a Canadian for over 30 years and had his Canadian passport and the staff would not accept it. He stayed 2 of 6 nights and we were charged the full tax. I have lived in Canada my entire life and was also subjected to this. Our Tel Aviv hotel was not like this. I booked the hotel, and had no idea that we would be charged 800.00 because he was born in Israel. Asked at other hotels and they said they do not charge the tax if there are foreign passports as in our case. Also came back to the hotel at midnight and we had the only room WITHOUT electricity ( tv worked but no lights) and we had to move rooms in the dark with no help from any employees. The maintenance man was kind enough to lend us his flash light!. Another day, the shower broke and yet another day the tv didn’t work. All this and we were still charged a tax that should NOT apply to foreigners!!!
Location was excellent. Breakfast was okay

Israel-Huge mess in the dining room, too many people. In the morning the buffet was quickly emptied and the staff had a hard time to fill it back. In the second morning, when we came much earlier, the buffet was by far richer, giving the feeling that in the first morning we missed a good part of it. - Biggest issue: We were one foreigner, who paid the bill and one Israeli in the room. The clerk at the reception insisted that we have to pay full VAT, although I was told during reservation that we'd have to pay VAT only for half of the price, which makes very much sense.. -The staircase, which we used extensively, was very neglected and dirty. It is also much too narrow in the case of an emergency
Food was nice, large variety. Staff in the dining room was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room unexpectedly quiet. Room was clean and comfortable.
