To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

the size of the room was great, the location was perfect and it is excellent value for money - as a young couple being able to save money on accommodation meant we had more freedom in Iceland for activities

United KingdomThe hotel is located at the city centre, opposite of the bus stop no.9, which is a pick up point for travelling to airport and taking day tours. It is also close to the bus interchange behind it. The room have suitable amenities. The receptionist was so helpful in guiding into difference places in the city, including laundry shop as the hotel does not provide laundry service.

ChinaAppreciate very much for the Chinese receptionist, he told me how to find the nearest post office in very good patience. it is very confortable to communicate in Chinese. And anther receptionist told me how to find good restaurant and supermarket. The address for this guesthouse hotel is extremely good, just opposite of busstop9. It deserves to choose it by you!

And very warm too, that's a plus in Iceland! The very added value is the receptionist: very nice and helpful! Provided us a lot of info and tips for sightseeing and eating!
