Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IcelandVery minimalist room, few and limp pillows, no elevator. Kitchen and common areas were not available during winter renovations.

GreeceThe floor of the room was not clean, breakfast not included even though the price of the room hasn't been the best deal we've made in Iceland, and the room was nothing close to warm/ cosy
Lovely location, big room, super friendly staff, cool hanging/ socializing areas (bar downstairs), no noise/ disturbances during the night

ItalyWe stayed in the 4th floor, the last of the building, and the showers were in the basement. Not so easy to go all the way down with your stuff because if you forgot something you had to go all the way up again. For one night was ok but if we stayed longer that would be annoying.
Very well located in the city center, nice and friendly staff. For the ones who like drinking, the hostel has a bar.

IcelandThe noise at night is terrible, until 3am people having full on conversations and shouting in the street. There are many bars and underground venues in the vicinity. The property itself does have a noise rule on premises for guests. In the rooms the have industrial extractors running non-stop. If you smart and tall enough, you can plug it. They instruct you to remove you linen off your bed, totally unreasonable. It’s not a dormitory.
Location is pretty much in the pedestrian zone, they have a full bar and restaurant on site. I stayed a while ago and there was more of a kitchen available, now a kettle and microwave. They offered a hot plate if I needed (you can’t use their kitchen) and no kettle, cups and glasses provided in the room. Design is minimal, typical in Icelandic/Nordic fashion of two single duvets instead of one, also a two single beds together does not make a double.

United States of AmericaThe bedding & pillows were rough. Small pillows.
The Bar is a popular place for locals and travelers. You are going to be in the heart of the bar vibe, especially if you arrive over the weekend. Be aware that breakfast does not open until 11am on Sunday, brunch options only. The food is good, highly suggested the cod burger. Parking is free over the weekend (Saturday & Sunday)

GermanyThe ‘kitchen’ for guests was a joke. There were a kettle, a microwave and one cooking plate. No cutlery, no fridge, not even a proper table to prepare the food. Unfortunately all bathrooms on our floor were out of order. Parking gets expensive as well, since the hostel offers no parking spots and all closer to the hostel are charged.
The hostel was very clean with modern facilities and a spacious room. Amazing location, directly in the city centre!

SingaporeVery much understaffed. The service staff have to man the reception, restaurant and bar. Double rooms on level 4 meant that climbing up 3 flights of stairs with luggage was a nightmare. There did not seem to be a self catering kitchen available too.
Double room was very spacious. Staff were friendly and toilets were generally really clean.

Czech RepublicThe showers were downstairs so you had to walk through the pub, but that wasn’t that bad, it was just weird. Also if you like to go sleep early, you will have to deal with little music from downstairs.
We loved this accommodation for location, it was nice room above amazing pub with really good beer and friendly staff. We loved the whole vibe of the accommodation and pub together and would recommend to any young travelers (or young in spirit)

United States of AmericaParking was in city lot or on the street. There was one small room off the bar for use but in general common areas were not setup and filled with storage. One small microwave and hotpot for common use. Bar noise was loud but only until 11pm. No where to hang anything in room. One small table and one chair. No hooks, hangers. We used the ledges of the two windows.
Big, bright, clean room. City view. Clean shared WC but no soap in dispensers. Bar was popular. Lots of different types of hangout spots - tables, couches etc. Good food. Lots of people enjoying themselves.

FinlandThere was no kitchen in the hostel for us to cook in and that was not clearly mentioned (normally hostels have cooking facilities). The bed was also very noisy and they did not have private parking (but a parking lot was near by where we had the car).
Room was spacious and clean. Location for our was perfect.

AustraliaThe staff are very busy running the pub and have no time or interest in the people staying upstairs. our room was on the 4th floor, the toilet on that level was broken so we had to come down to the 3rd, which was dirty because of overuse. The showers were all in the basement. there was only a tiny space with a jug and microwave if you wanted to make tea or a simple meal, which is not the usual case for a hostel.
Good location and parking

IcelandMe and my husband met each other in this hostel 2 years ago and we decide to return in our anniversary but all our nostalgic memories was killed. 1. Broken toilet on our floor from august(?), maybe earlier. We need to run from the end of the 4th floor corridor to the 3rd floor. 2. Metal trash can in the room had a horrible smell of cigarettes and I can feel this smell all the time 3. They put a torn towel. Like half torn. When we brought on reception worker smirked and even didn’t apologise. Just gave another towel. 4. Mattress, blankets and pillows was dirty. Bed linens with broken zippers and you can see how dirty are all 5. On the our last day, at 7:40 started fire alarm. Almost 20 minutes we listened this “nice” sound and staff even didn’t explain what actually happened and didn’t evacuate us ( just image if it was true fire). Staff even cannot turn off alarm and security made it. 6. They removed kitchen and now not possible to cook something, I even didn’t see any cups - just small kettle. It is look like after makes bigger restaurant area they pushing people also spend money on food in they hostel. 7. I don’t say about absolutely NOT soundproof walls. I can hear alarm on vibrating in another room like it was move phone… Even in the 4th floor you can hear what’s going on downstairs. At 23:00 was bell for “get out” for the guests in the bar area abut it was still noisy, maybe some people refused to go.
One of the workers, Anna. We was very sweet and highlight in our staying in the hostel. Also hostel offer breakfast like apologies for the not working toilet. You can leave your luggage in the staff room Location are amazing. Tasty croissant and cheese buns, and whole breakfast was nice and tasty.
