Room was a little musty smelling.

Dinner in the restaurant was amazing. Stellar views from room and restaurant. Very helpful and nice staff. Spacious and clean room.

Too expensive. For that price I would expect higher standard of the rooms. Apart of the hotel lobby, the experience was pretty basic. Some furniture parts for expample were a little damaged on its surface. We have slept in much better hotels or guesthouses during our roadtrip around the Iceland and those were much cheaper. It could has breakfast included at least.

The hotel lobby at the reception looks amazing, very cozy, beautiful sea view, nice place to have a rest and enjoy the moment.

The hotel was really nice, as well as the staff and we had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. It is also quite nicely located near the sea with a nice view. If you are going around the Snaefellsnes peninsula, it is a great place to stay.

They had a strict no food/cooking preparation policy in for room… which is fine, but not sure that should apply to cup noodles etc.

Really remote location, but works well for those willing to travel out that way.

I stayed for four nights in the same room - principally an excellent place and room to be; unfortunately, there was an annoying sqeaking repetitive noise caused by the admittedly strong wind. It must have come from some parts of the roof or alike. I informed the very friendly personel about this and I hope they could fix it in the meantime (perhaps not an easy task). Otherwise en extremely lovely place to stay!

Excellent food, friendly staff, extremely relaxing place to be. The entrance hall just invites to sit, to relax, to drink a coffee and to let go.

Located just next to an amazing lava field and beautiful cliff. We stayed in the smaller building and not the main house in a nice and spacious room.

If you stay in the main building, you'll need to carry your luggage up stairs. If you have heavy luggage, it can be uncomfortable.

Good location, near a viewpoint and the beach. You can have a nice view during dinner. The heater is in good working condition The restroom is spacious.

Extremely warm room and a lot of it is worn looking, especially the bathroom. The price is really not worth the stay. Room is quite small. We ended up here after another hotel canceled our stay.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location is beautiful.

The room was a bit big and therefore the heating required some time until it was comfortable

The hotel is located in a prime location close by to almost all of the attraction snæfellsnes southern peninsula, making it an excellent stop during a trip to snæfellsnes. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was extremely nice - highly recommended

Insufficient and poorly placed power outlets. Nowhere to rest things in the bathroom.

It's very expensive for what it is, but then again, Iceland is very expensive and it's one of the only accommodations around. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. False alarm, and it happens, but no one from the staff seemed to managing the situation.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. The food - breakfast and dinner - was very good. It has a great view, and convenient to area attractions. The room was fine, good sized bathroom.

Smaller rooms - little sound insulin as timer framed

Great location at the end of the peninsula after a busy day exploring. Not much nearby - but nice walk down to beach (with cafe). Hotel rooms are cosy but clean and comfortable - timber framed so not much noise insulation. We had a great stay for one night as a family of four with two sea view rooms - and were pleasantly surprised how good the restaurant food was considering how remote the hotel is. Very impressed by how friendly all the staff were - every single one said hello/good morning etc with a smile as you passed them

The rooms were a little stuffy, but keeping the small window open helps.

Location is right to get the best of the coastline without being in Arnarstapi. Meals were wonderful, the staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. 5 ⭐

Our triple room was in another building and not at the hotel's main building, which looked too expensive for the room we got . Also, the breakfast for the kid was not included.

This is a really charming property. It’s very simple and bare-bones, but cute. Everything was very clean. The bathrooms are extremely small but that is to be expected.

Windy for two days. Gravel parking lot. Bathtub was difficult to get into and was the shower. No cleaned.

This Fosshotel is clearly in need of refurbishment and renovation. Our room had windows that didn't close properly so howling cold wind was let in all the time. There was a drainage problem in the bathroom that created a constant stench.

we needed a place to stay on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula z, honestly, there's very little accommodation to be found. we thought that the two young waiters at dinner did a marvelous job serving a full dining room. in addition, the dinner was excellent.
