Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SerbiaWe had a wonderful stay at A Casa Da Mami. Marzia and Mirella are amazing hosts. Their place is centrally located, close to train station, close to shops, souvenirs, and everything you need for a peaceful stay in Piano and great connection with Sorento. The room was great! Very comfortable bed and pillows, which we were positively surprised with. Very clean room and bathroom, decent breakfast, delicious Italian coffee. Overall, very positive stay, and if we ever come back to Piano, A Casa Da Mami is where we'll stay.

AustraliaThe walls are quite thin but this didn’t bother us. The house is on level 3, so there are lots of stairs. Bring plenty of 20c coins for the elevator if you want to use it. They only take 20c.
This property was perfect for us! Our lovely hosts Mirella and Marzia were so hospitable. They gave us recommendations and information about the area and Sorrento too. Their dog Belle was such a sweetie. Our breakfast was perfect and the coffee was delicious. Our room was private, spacious and the air conditioner worked well. There was also a ceiling fan. The bathroom was really clean and it also had a fan (which is rare for Italy). Our hosts serviced the room daily which was very nice of them. It was really nice to meet other guests staying at the house too. We were checking out very early in the morning and our hosts left us a packed breakfast to take with us. We felt right at home and would recommend this place to stay!

IsraelIt is very comfortable, warm, welcoming, safe, clean and beautiful place which made our stay in Sorrento special. The hosts are so friendly and caring. Special thanks to Mirella who kindly took very good care of my daughter. The accommodation is very conveniently located on the pleasant and lively but not noisy main street to Sorrento where you can find nice shops and bus stops to Sorrento. We found riding bus is much more convenient to go to Sorrento rather than by train while we sometimes walked less than 30 min to Sorrento. The place offered our first encounter with the beautiful southern Italian life and people in Sorrento region which we appreciated a lot and became our beloved home for 7 days. We are already missing the place, fantastic hosts and lovely dog and cat.

CanadaCan’t think of anything.
Breakfast was simple but tasty. Mirella was a very genial host, willing to answer questions and offer information. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk to the station (and only 2 stops from Sorrento). Piano di Sorrento is less “touristy” than Sorrento and has some good local restaurants. Try the fish store across the street where you can choose your fish and have it grilled for you.

United States of AmericaThere is a smell of cigarettes in the apartment, but we did know about that ahead of time.
The hosts are so hospitable and welcoming. The room was comfortable and spacious. It is in a good location for those who want to travel to Sorrento or the Amalfi Coast. Would definitely return!

NetherlandsOne minor inconvenience is related to the train schedule from Sorrento to Piano; the last one is at 9:30, so if we wanted to stay more in other locations in the area, we were conditioned to return earlier to catch the last train. The taxi from Sorrento to Piano is 40€ in the evening. If you come/rent a car or motorcycle, you should not be concerned.
The hosts are extremely nice and willing to help. When we left we were able to leave our backpacks to the property so we can spend more time around Sorrento. Also, nice breakfast:)

Centre of Piano di Sorrento with a quick walk to the station and a short train (3 minutes) to Sorrento. Piano itself is a lovely town with lots to offer. Casa Da Mami was a great place to stay. The room and the bathroom were perfectly clean. There was AC in the room. The breakfast was fulfilling every morning with amazing coffee. Homemade and delicious choices. The hosts - Marzia and Mirella - are so nice and welcoming. Added bonus of dog and cat cuddles. I would definitely recommend staying at Casa da Mami!

United KingdomCasa Da Mami was a great place to stay. It was super clean, the hosts re cleaned our bathroom and bedroom frequently and topped up our refreshments (bottles of water) in our fridge throughout our stay. The rooms were lovely and the location was great, however what really put Casa Da Mami apart from conventional hotels for us was Marzia and Mirella! They were exceptional hosts, not only with their friendliness and helpfulness; offering tips and suggestions for every part of our trip, but they really made you feel at home. They shared snacks they had made throughout the week, like bruschetta. One night they invited us to try some of their dinner, which was beautiful. They really made our trip feel more authentic; it really was one of our favourite places we stayed on out trip (we were interrailing), we would definitely recommend!

Czech RepublicThe room had no AC, it was pretty uncomfortable to stay there during summer. It had a fan in the ceiling but it was not enough to cool down the room so we were sweaty outside in the street and also while in the room. Other than the AC, everything else was perfect!!
The breakfast was pretty good every morning. Pretty close to the train station, where you can take a 3 minutes train ride to Sorrento. Very friendly host

SwitzerlandNext time we book again a room with direct access to a bathroom, which is for organization reasons much easier. Breakfast was good, but nothing extraordinary (croissants packed in plastic, unless other places nothing typical from the area like cake or other sweets). On the last day, coffee was unfortunately cold when we arrived. Make sure to have 20 cent coins which you will need if you plan to take the elevator.
Good location close to train station (Piano di Sorrento) and the city center of the same village. More authentic experience than Sorrento where you hardly hear Italian and prices are much higher. You get prompt answers from the hosts and they try to make your arrival as smooth as possible (detailed description how to get to accommodation). Late check out was possible.

HungaryThis is now a negative entry. Unfortunately, our stay was not a good choice for us. At first glance, the apartment was not bad and our host looked helpful, but after a while we noticed a strange smell. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that there is a dog and a cat in the apartment. For those who are sensitive or allergic to it, like us, this will be a very unpleasant experience. The whole apartment smells of strong cat pee mixed with awful home perfume. As it turned out, we only rented a room without separated style. This meant that the host's mother lived in the house, so the hallway and the kitchen were shared. Although the bathroom was separate and only we could use it, we still had to walk through the common areas, which was very unpleasant. The dog barked at us loud every time we or somebody came in. We reported the problem to the host, but she was not helpful. She was very aggressive when we came up with the idea that we will leave the house because of these problems. She mentioned that the refund is not an option, but we did not talk about money. Our problem is serious healthcare issue. In our opinion, it is not properly emphasized that there are pets. (You can only find in the last tab at the end of the full Description.) Unfortunately, in the booking confirmation that is also not involved. This is unacceptable. We left the accommodation and stayed elsewhere, obviously with an emergency surcharge. I do not recommend this accommodation!

It also was very close to the piazza that had delicious food if you wanted to stay close for the night. The hosts were amaizng in making our stay comfortable, enjoyable and accessible. Thankyou!
