Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe view was out of this world. Waking up to see the sun shining across the lake was very special. This is a traditional, family owned property with an authentic Italian feel. Set up high above Tremezzo .. peaceful and tranquil. I enjoyed the walk down to the village but transport is provided by the hotel if needed. Breakfast is basic continental style with plenty on offer. Very pleasant to sit on the terrace and enjoy your espresso with the mountain view!

United KingdomNothing - this is an amazing hotel.
This is a real gem! I booked this based on the reviews and it didn’t disappoint! The owner kindly picked us up from the ferry terminal and was always willing to drive us to the ferry. The room is lovely and the view is spectacular. Amazing breakfast. It’s high on the hill so you can’t walk to the hotel but call the owner and he will help for sure!

United KingdomNothing, I'd live here if I could. Lovely swimming pool with amazing views, underground garage parking, tennis court etc. Plenty of room to chill out and get away from it all. The hotel has 25-30 rooms so it's never going to be horribly busy with people. Very classy, best find we've ever made. It's on my list for regular visits. Service is impeccable, dead classy place.
What a gem of a find. It's like being invited into a classy family home. The rooms are traditional and spacious, the hotel is immaculately clean, the food and wine is right up there and the views - an uninterrupted panorama stretching from the lower reaches of lake Como, past beautiful Bellagio opposite and on towards the dramatic alpine peaks in the north. Standing in complete serenity in the hotel's beautiful garden, you can listen to the gentle tolling of church bells ringing out across the lake. It is heaven.

AustraliaThe room was small and there was no kettle. The shower was over the bath, quite high to get in and out of, and we prefer a walk in shower. Although the dinners were lovely, eating around 8pm is a little late for us.
The view from the hotel is superb and the seating area in the garden lovely. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Free parking on site as you need a car to access the town and lake given the steep roads. Meals were delicious and the dining areas had wonderful views. Staff were friendly.

IndiaAn absolute gem! Franco and Lydia are absolutely delightful hosts. Everything about this place screams 'intimate'. I arrived on a wet afternoon, and since the hotel is a bit uphill from the main road, they picked me up. And when I left, they dropped me back. Seeing how I slept in on the day of my checked out, Franco gave me a quick slap on meal before sending me on my way. Lovely, lovely people and absolutely stunning views of the Lake from up high. The pier is a 15 min trek downhill, and there are a bunch of bars and restaurants there too (if you ever plan on leaving the hotel, that is, which is unnecessary) I'm only sad I can't stay longer. If you're ever in Como and need a laid back B'n'B, this is your place

United KingdomNo real reflection on the hotel but Taxis up and down the hill are hard to come buy. Walkable but not really with kids. Would advise a hire car.
This hotel is just fantastic. Nothing too flash or fancy but it makes you feel like you are really in Italy. The food is Proper home cooked Italian cuisine. Its fab from the quality of the ingredients to the heart that is put into every dish. The View though is just other worldly. This view should cost soooo much more. It just takes your breath away the entire time you are lucky enough to witness it. From Bellagio to the unbelievable sun setting on the hills around. If you want to experience Italy in a hotel run by a lovely Italian family then this is the place. I Loved tasting the Italian wines and and Gianfranco imparted such knowledge and really opened my eyes to Italian wine. Some great local wines too! Fabulous place. (This was our second stay We last visited 7 years ago and it still has the same lovely feel.)

BelgiumWe stayed in a lovely corner room with views both over lake Como and towards the pool/mountains and balconies in both directions. The hotel has an underground garage which is great during the hot summer months. The pool is smallish but still a great addition as the hotel is situated a bit up the mountainside. The lounge chairs at the pool have a great view across the lake. We had dinner at the hotel and they offer both a buffet plus à la carte. We chose one of each and both very happy with the quality of food. Dinner is served on the back garden terrace with amazing views across the lake. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. Breakfast had plenty of choice. We only stayed one night but would happily stayed longer if weren't on a fixed itinerary.
