Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe breakfast was cheap but just coffee and croissant (and you need to book). The shower was very small (60cm square). The hand towels were like T-towels and became sodden very quickly. Bath towels were fine. The hotel is on a busy road and we were woken by traffic at regular intervals. The walls seem to be thin and we could hear our neighbours but this did not affect us too much.
The hotel is very close to all the main attractions, which in Pisa, is the Leaning Tower and Duomo complex. The room was a decent size and had everything we needed. There were things on which to comment negatively (see later). There was one surprising thing that cannot go without a mention... the food in the restaurant was fantastic. I'd argue that it was the best meal of our eight-day trip to Tuscany and thoroughly recommend the food.

United KingdomSome staff not at all friendly and welcoming, but some were ok when asked for something. Room was basic, bathroom needed major update and redecoration but rest of hotel quite clean. Rooms cleaned each day. TV propped up on a mosquito plug in😳 Awful smell of sewage seemed to be outside in some areas of that road and did seem to come into the bathroom...not sure if through the window or plumbing. Room looked more tired and basic than those in photos, but it was ok for a few days. Breakfast ok for 3 Euros, but still hungry and would have rather paid more and had better selection than one croissant and a small packet of pan toast stuff. Some fruit, yogurt and more tea and coffee would have been good. No drink making facilities in room, except a kettle ..but it did have a fridge. We would have paid a few euros more to have those included.
Great location, budget friendly, but basic

United States of AmericaThe hotel is very run down, crazy small bathroom in the family room. Reception area seems dingy at best. The sheets and towels were clean- not so much the comforters on the bed. For a cheap one night- it worked.
The location is fantastic.

United KingdomWe were disappointed that it was no hearing, radiators were not working ( in our friend’s room as well). In description was coffee, tea, iron for clothes at room was only kettle, no coffee, tea or mugs, no iron at all. In room was very dark, as blinders were placed from outside of windows.
Property was clean. The staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful. The location was perfect - 7mins walk from Pisa leading tower and coffee bars and shops.

ItalyI plan my stays with Booking since decades. This was the first time I had to choose all at once another place. But I must admit that I would not have chosen this hotel with more time and calmer situation : and it would have been a pity, because in that case I would not met Pietro and his staff : really professional and friendly people.
I had to choose this hotel all of a sudden, because the apartment I first choose (and paid) was unfit to live in. In days of university functioning plus tourists plus a national congress, find in half an hour another place to stay near the site of the congress was not easy. Indeed Amalfitana is classified as a 2 stars hotel, but they accepted us, gave us a room at discounted fare and upgraded us without any further payment. Treat us friendly, helped us free coffee and we could dine and have lunch in first days in their cozy restaurant, with an inner access from the hotel protecting us from heavy rain. up today, the day we left, they did their best to make us feel at the better comfort they could.

United KingdomRoom was a bit dated but it was spacious as we were given a triple room, it was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Location is great a short walk to the leaning tower and the Duomo. Pisa is a small city and you can walk around easily to the shops, the main sights and the river its a fifteen minute walk from the station to the hotel. There is an onsite restaurant which is good would also recommend Osteria la Mesquita and Osteria I Santi very close to the hotel This is a two star hotel we had to book due to flights being cancelled staff were very friendly and kind to us and helped us throughout our stay. Showers were hot

CanadaAs mentioned our stay was short and we didn't have the opportunity to try the restaurant as mentioned in previous reviews, just means we may have to return another trip.
The hotel was great, easy check-in with friendly staff. The room was just what we needed for our short stay. It was clean and quiet we had a good nights sleep. The location was great with a short walk to the Leaning Tower- which was a must see at night as well as in the morning. We were able to leave our luggage at check out to go tour the Leaning Tower before traveling on. The neighborhood was nice with shops and restaurants.
