Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyThe shower sprays water around and not below the shower head. The shower head is fixed and can't be moved. There are many steps to move around the hotel. The address is correct but the position in the minimap is off by 30 metres.
Very nice hotel in a charming little town. Everything looks traditional. There are no cars in the town; the official car parking is quite near to the hotel, around 250 metres. There are other unofficial parkings, 20-100 metres far from the hotel. The breakfast is good. The town is calm and relaxing. The artificial and natural lights of the room are perfect. All the rooms have view to the narrow streets of the town. There are plenty of power outlets. The pillows are ok but could be better. The owners give a lot of useful information about the hotel and the surroundings.

GermanyMaybe I should have asked... but there is no table in the main building, or in our room where to sit down and write (or work)
In these yet again uncertain times of religion wars and fear, going back to renaissance basics, to humanism, is more important than ever. Fulvia & Carlo provide the perfect location and love for detail necessary for such a trip into Firenze, Lucca, Pisa, Vinci, Pistoia and all these great locations, but without the hustle of the mass tourism the rest of the day.

HungaryThere is nothing we did not like, it was a fantastic experience.
It is a very unique place to stay, in a small middle-age hilltop city. Very friendly hosts, and a charming house renovated and furnished in great style. The small town itself is also charming and it is a great place to wind-down. The little garden opposite to the house is the cherry on top.

NetherlandsOur stay couldn't have been more wonderful, thanks to the endearing hospitality of Carlo and Fulvia. We booked the apartment, which turned out to be an excellent choice as it has the most gorgeous view and lots of space. It was hot during our 4 night stay and we came by train so we didn't have our own transport to drive somewhere to escape the heat. But it allowed us to slow down and sit in the beautiful garden, enjoy the quiet village life. One day we accepted Carlo's offer for a lift to Montecatini, where we took a swim in one of the thermal baths, surprisingly refreshing. Elaborate cooking is not really possible in the little kitchenette, but we prepared a simple meal one night and ate in the trattoria the rest of the time. The local pizza's are very good. All in all we very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you Carlo and Fulvia!

GermanyThere are not so many things in the area nearby that you can do. The area does not really seem to be perfect for hiking, for example. We found some options but they are limited. However, if you are willing to also take day trips to Lucca, Firenze, Viareggio, you can easily spend 4-5 days there. We spent 5 nights and had a great time!
Many things were great about this very welcoming B&B: - a very peaceful garden where we had breakfast - a trainstation nearby (10 mins by car) which takes you to the sea, Lucca, or Firenze - classical music any time you enter the building - we had an extremely pretty room where we felt very much at home. The warm sunlight made a spectacular light and mood each day. - there is a restaurant in the center of the small town where you can hang out in the evening and watch locals and tourists. the town seems pretty much alive (more than other small towns in the area) - we liked the hosts and their approach to hospitality. Ricotta and honey made it into our breakfast routine ;)

NetherlandsZanzare.
We really liked Antica Casa "le rondini". The hosts are very nice and helpful. The village is very cozy and the location is great. The village lies between Florence and Pisa. Lucca is also very close, so there is a lot to see and do nearby. Additionally, the restaurant in the village is very good. We ate there 4 out of 7 nights during our stay. The place is animal friendly.
