The incredible views and welcoming host make this place absolutely exceptional. We loved spending time in the beautiful garden and we were really made to feel at home. The location is perfect too - close to the town but you really feel like you are out in the countryside which is exactly what we were looking for. Thank you so much for a truly memorable stay.

Nothing. Everything was perfect!

Everything!! The view is just spectacular! You can sit on the terrace with a bottle of the property’s wine and never leave if you don’t want to. If you do want to leave, it’s just a short walk to San Gimignano and to a winery and also a short drive to many other destinations in Tuscany. There are also many busses available if you don’t have a car. The room and bathroom is spacious and clean. The hostess Gabriella is extremely welcoming and there for anything you may need as well as great company. Breakfast on the terrace is amazing! There are only 3 rooms and we enjoyed visiting with the other guests, becoming quite good friends after 3 days. I can’t recommend this place more for a relaxing stay in Tuscany!!!

On the not so positive side, I always write something just to make things realistic. This time I do not have much to say. Just that the road we have to take to get to the object is so crowded with tourists that it is hard to walk it. For my preferences, the object is too close to the road. But all this is hard to describe as negative, rather to make the description realistic, as I can only recommend this place.

As for agritourist place this is 5-star object. Spacious and clean rooms. Very nice garden. Very good breakfast. Astonishing view on San Gimignano. Very close to the grocery shop. Not far from the old town but in quiet place (for San Gimignano that is a huge benefit as this is very busy town – thousands of tourists are coming each day). The best of all is the host. She is the best person we have ever met in our vacation places, ever! Gentle, empathic, always smiling, always serving with no complains. I can only recommend.

First of all hospitality of the owner Gabriella was exceptional. Antico Casolare is located few minutes walking away from San Gimignano. Breakfast was perfect, the view while having breakfast was outstanding. If we will go again we will stay there without hesitation.

We loved everything

Gabriella was a fantastic host, so kind and attentive. The view is also breathtaking and we felt so lucky to have a delicious breakfast in the garden every morning. The location is perfect, far enough that we felt like we were in the countryside but very close to San Gimignano. It was a 5 minute uphill walk which was more than manageable (even in heels). There is also a winery in walking distance so we could go on a lovely wine tour without having to worry about transport. Gabriella also makes her own wine and olive oil which we loved. In the evening we could stargaze and it was all very romantic. We couldn't have asked for more and are very grateful for our stay. We hope to stay here again!

Host was attentive and we felt like we were in good hands during our stay. We also appreciated the AC on some unusually hot days in Tuscany. In the early mornings and evenings, it was nice to relax in the garden area and enjoy the views.

Our stay at Antico Casolare was perfect. The location and the view of San Gimignano was perfect. Breakfast was served in the yard with the view of the old medieval town, breathtaking. And it was just a few minutes walk to the the town. The owner was super nice and helpful, she gave us coupons for local restaurants, explained what was where in the town and we had a nice chat with her whenever we saw each other. She even let me park at the property after our check out as we went out to explore the town some more. The owner is also vine and olive oil producer so we bought a bottle of home made Vernaccia vine. Maybe the best thing, since we were so tired after a long drive, was bed! The pillows and the mattress were so good, I slept like a baby! Everything is memory foam! Easily the best sleep I had in Italy! Would definitely recommend this place and come back again!

Everything was perfect

The location is exceptional. Only just a few minutes walk from the center of San Gimignano. We stayed here for four days and were extremely satisfied. Our room was spacious, clean and had air conditioning. From here I could visit a different area of ​​Tuscany every day. The breakfast was very good, we were able to taste Cavallucci and Cantucci with coffee, and in the evening with Vin Santo. Gabriella, the host, was extremely nice and helpful, she helped us make plans to see the region every day. You can try wine and olive oil, Gabrielle's own production.

I couldn't think of anything I disliked if I tried.

The location is great, very easy to walk to the center of San Gimignano. The host is very nice and helped us a lot with tips for places we visited, like with good parking spots and all. She really contributed to a wonderful holiday. Room is nice and clean, and there is airconditioning in the room. The breakfast is nice, and from the breakfast area you have a great view on the town.

It is hard to express how much our family liked Antico Casolare. Our stay here was simple amazing. Our room was spacious and super clean, also very quite and nicely decorated. The view from the garden is just stunning! Breakfast is served in the garden and is super delicious and with local goods. And the owner is such a nice, friendly and warm person, that we instantly felt like at home. She also helped us a lot when my husband got sick. Definitely my highest recommendations for this place and really hope to come back one day.
