Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The sofa was uncomfortable to sit on. We paid for the heating for two nights. We realise it is a mild climate but would have been happy to pay more for the room and have the heating included.
A great location within walking distance of the archaeological site as well as many restaurants. Lovely, warm feather doonas on the beds.

While it is small, it is exactly as advertised
The staff was most helpful and went out of the way to help me find a uncommon “American” pregnancy craving, which was very kind. Beyond that the check in was seamless and quick

Locations was great with cafe, bar, supermarket all on the doorstep. Main square, shopping, restaurants and train station just a few minutes’ walk away. Apartment clean and comfortable for a few nights while we visited Pompei, Naples and the Amalfi coast.

One of the reasons for choosing the property was so I could use the gym but it was too expensive to access do I didn’t which was a shame.
Awesome location, staff we excellent and very helpful, good size apartment. The roof top area had a lovely view so a nice place to sit and eat as well.

Nothing really, we loved it! Only thing - it would have been nice to have windows that could open only slightly rather than all the way (as we were on the ground floor we wouldn't want them fully open when we slept or were out).
Amazing location to visit the Pompei ruins and arrive on foot from Pompei station. Host was wonderful - let us drop our bags early so we could get exploring to the ruins at Herculaneum straight away and also provided information on local businesses / eateries. Really close to the great shopping / food areas of Pompei and had a great common area on the rooftop we could access - we just loved our stay!

A little noisy from outside traffic and other attached apartments. This the centre of a busy area though so this should be expected to some degree. Ear plugs are a good idea for sleeping. Wifi didn't work.
Very central location. Easy to access Pompeii ruins and places to eat. Close to the main square.

The shower was not in the best spot as well as the shower curtain should be changed and the space between toilet and bath tub is a bit wired

Minor things and not a big problem: The apartment (number 5) is not in an airy ventilated spot so air con is definitely recommended in summer (for 10 euro is a bargain anyway). There is also only one fan next to the main bed. A second fan would be good at the other end of the apartment for the second bed for people who are not using the air con.
Alfonso was really helpful. Location is good and the apartment itself was functional and clean.

I retirned many times in this apartment because I find it very comfortable for our necessities. Ww slept at n.5. My friend was also with me so we had a double and single bed. I wnjoyed the leather sofa and laege midwrnbwardrobe. Beds very comfy. We did not use the roof terrace but I knew it was available. Location is very good near supermarket, grocer butcher and many bars and restaurants.Train station and santuario station not too far. Alfonso very nice and easy to reach.

airco wasn’t working but he communicated that before. was a colder night, so we can’t complain. noice from the streets and the gym costed €15,- pp per day. that was a bit expensive. shower didn’t work at first, but after one call it was fixed. the issue was the electricity that popped out. glad that he fixed that. The communication was during the whole stay good and his English also.
it is close to the centre of the city. Big room with many beds.

no coffee available
We stayed previously in the same building in a different flat; the difference is that this one has a plus with the bathtub ( our toddler loved it ) but needs some TLC. I believe it’s been a while since it’s been cared for. it needs an upgrade but overall is a good place to stay.

I lacked some details that usually make my stay perfect and also the apartment was not very clean - it was dusty in some places, the mirror was dirty.
the place in general was really good. The hosts were very responsive, helped me to solve a very important issue for me. They found my headphones I forgot in the apartment, informed me and I was able to get them back.
