Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very clean , quiet , comfortable room. Staff very friendly and ready to help if you need anything. Absolutely fantastic breakfast buffet. Great location ,walking distance to many of the key sites or a few minute cab drive. Very close to termini, which was helpful for day trips. Small clean gym, which I did utilize. Spa services also available.

No complaints :)
Central location close to Roma Termini, relaxing and affordable spa with multi sensory saunas, amazing rooftop bar/restaurant, comfortable pillows, fast WiFi, magnificent breakfast. Also set us up for car service to the airport. After a whirlwind week traveling in other parts of Italy, Hotel Artemide was such a refreshing experience to unwind before our long journey home!

Nothing. The junior suite was not huge but an adequate size for a family of 3 and you can close the room divider if needed.
We loved our stay, the staff were great, the breakfast was amazing and the location was close to the Colosseum and the major shopping area, Trevi etc were in walking distance. The spa was well worth a visit. The free mini bar was replenished daily. The pillows and mattress were memory foam and very comfortable.

The service and rooms were great! Especially the reception staff and the breakfast staff. Breakfast selection was so good it was overwhelming! Loved our stay and I definitely recommend it.

Room slightly small. Needed another chair as only one in room for 2 guests, but room was possibly too small to get another in. No English tv channels except sky news, so in effect none so had to use you tube.

The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help and make us feel welcome. We were really impressed with the little details. Such as complimentary tea and coffee in the lounge, complimentary drinks on the terrace and a free mini bar. Our room was really clean and very comfortable. I particularly liked the memory foam pillow. I would recommend this hotel. Thank you.

Everything was great!
It was amazingly quiet yet in the heart of Rome! Staff was so kind and helpful and welcoming when I came back from a day of touring- relaxing and wonderful - an oasis of comfort!

Great spa but couldn’t take my children in. Age 18+
Great location, breakfast superb, hotel provided us with a breakfast to go when we were on a day trip, leaving before restaurant opened for breakfast. Staff very helpful with organising taxi’s, restaurant recommendations etc. Junior suite brilliant layout for a family of 4.
