Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe room was very small. I also missed a hot water machine with tea and coffee. Would expect this for a hotel of this category. I was also disappointed by the fact that they use plastic glasses in the bathroom. Other hotels with this category offer complimentary water bottles.
The view of the room is wonderful. The location of the hotel is beautiful as such with great view. Very relaxing atmosphere. Also quiet, good bed.

United KingdomRoom above kitchen was noisy until around midnight. Pool towels and parking (given the location high up the hill), shouldn't be charged for. I would have hoped that when guests who were faced with a two day journey back to Australia, asked for a taxi to the train station, that instead of hearing that it would be very difficult to arrange because it was a national holiday, that maybe an offer of a lift to the station could have been made by management. Imagine the lasting impression that would have had!
The swimming pool and the view from our room which overlooked the pool and the lake was lovely. The evening meal was delicious and choice of beer good. All staff were friendly. Good choice of items for breakfast. Efficient air conditioning

United Kingdomthe most expensive of all the hotels we stayed in but the area is know for that so no surprise, be aware of mosquitoes and close your windows at night unlike me
great views from the top of the hill, parking just across the road, rooms nice, our children's was better than ours :-) small swimming pool overlooking the lake (Como that is ) very nice meal in the restaurant , walked down to the lake in the morning after great breakfast, steep climb back so be warned.

United States of AmericaThe room and shower were very tiny, but I understand that is not very unusual for European hotels. We were also unexpectedly charged for towels for the pool, but they cost wasn't prohibitive. It's also a bit tricky to get a car quickly when you need one, due to the location of the hotel on top of a hill.
The view was amazing, restaurant was excellent and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hotel breakfast was very satisfying with a lot of choices, and the dinner was impressive and a great value.

QatarI was late booking so my single room was a little too small - tried to get a larger room but the hotel was at full capacity. Wish they had a terrace bar or something as the view from the hotel is incredible and they could make use of that during the evening/night time
The view from the breakfast room was beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating

CanadaThey could think of having a car, just to pick up guests from the town. We were stuck in town one night at 8:15pm (not that late). We walked down to the town only about 15-20minutes but it was raining a lot when we got back to town, very windy. And worst part- we could not find a taxi. A local restaurant called a taxi for us 4-5 times … and they said “no taxis available in Cernobbio”. So that was not great. A lovely restaurant employee drove us up the hill to the hotel, in her private car. That’s all though, other than that, hotel wonderful. Would definitely return!!!!
Great location & view. Quieter town so not too touristy/noisy. Lovely, clean, friendly staff, excellent chef in restaurant!!! Ate there twice.

United KingdomTaxi prices are extortionate - €50 from the station to the hotel as it is slightly secluded (10 min journey from the station) The hotel reception was often left unattended and we waited for a while several times for help with towels etc. Lastly, there was a wedding held in the restaurant of the hotel on one of the days we stayed. This was a little uncomfortable, being a guest of the hotel, as I was in my bikini and had to walk through the party to get to the pool/ go to the toilets/ get drinks etc. The wedding guests also used the pool facilities and were rather loud when the hotel guests were trying to relax on the sun loungers. I wish we’d have known in advance about this booking but the hotel did not inform us.
Amazing little village close to Como. We walked to the ferry port of Cernobbio and travelled to Como. It was a steep downhill walk and so maybe a taxi is more suitable. The view from this hotel is something I’ve never experienced before - unbelievable. Value for money is great relative to other hotels but nonetheless still expensive.

FinlandThe location of the hotel was high up in the hill with a narrow and very curvy road; it was not possible to walk in the neighborhoods - car was a must. The pool only opened after 09:00 in the morning so it was not possible to take a swim before setting off to daily adventures
Breakfast was good, amazing view from the hotel terrace, lovely lady serving the breakfast, very nice cleaning lady,

United States of AmericaRooms with the side view a bit small for two people with two large suitcases.
I definitely recommend the Hotel Asnigo. Given the moderate price I was concerned about what to expect however I was pleased with the Hotel overall. The location was great, the views incredible and the pool and dining areas were very nice. The breakfast and parking was a definite plus. My husband and I stayed three nights and had to switch rooms the second day because our original room wasn't available upon booking. The first night we had a room with a balcony and full facing view of the lake. While on the smaller side it was very comfortable and the views and balcony were great. The second and third night we were in a room with a side view of the lake and no balcony. The room was small and a bit of a challenge for two people with two large suitcases. That was our only complaint. Otherwise, the staff was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

United KingdomLocation is tricky to get to especially if you get a bus from Como station as it's quite a long walk. Hotel felt a little old.
Booked a room with a balcony and the view was amazing! Definitely was the best part of staying here. Staff were okay for the brief encounters we had with them. Room was really clean!

FinlandThe hotel is a little difficult to get to without a car as the walk from Cernobbio is quite a steep uphill climb, but the views do more than make up for it! We ate a more formal lunch at the restaurant, but found out later on that there was also a more casual poolside menu, so it would have been great to hear about this option too.
A charming hotel with incredible views of Como and fantastic staff! We really enjoyed the hotel breakfasts on the terrace with a magnificent view of the lake, as well as the relaxing pool area. The highlight of the stay though was the staff- thank you for such friendly service (and assistance with booking taxis!) The breakfast had everything we needed, and the staff are also able to make speciality coffees. The cocktails at the bar with complimentary snacks were also great! The hotel is in a slightly challenging location if you don't have a car, but there are a few great restaurants nearby at a walking distance (Federico and Trattoria del Glicine), and the walk down the hill to Cernobbio is not too far.
