If you do not travel by car, do not fall for their request to meet at reception, it is more than 7 km out of town and we gave up walking on a gravel road. Two hours we could not reach reception by phone. After we did got in contact with them. we had to wait an other an hour and a half before someone was willing to come into town where the room was located to provide us with the key. (We had informed them through Booking.com with our arrival time and that we traveled by train) Tiny plastic glasses

Getting to the location is a bit confusing. You will receive a message with details but after reading it a few times we were still confused about where to park in the city as reading about this town you can’t just park anywhere. The main location of this hotel is different then the apartments in the city. You go there first and then you follow their car to the apartment. When we inquired about this process we were told to just read the message already provided, “all you have to do is read”. That interaction was a strange first impression, but ultimately once we arrived the staff seemed very helpful.

The location is in the heart of the city. The terrace overlooking Tuscany rolling hills is so beautiful! The property and location are 10/10.

We travelled by car and cars are not allowed in the city center. So we had to park pretty far from the premises.

The property is at the heart of the historic city. The is tiny so we were close to everywhere :)

The one suggested improvement would be to make it easier to buy a drink (coffee, soft drink, alcohol) by the pool. This was possible on two occasions but seemed only possible if you bumped into a member of staff. However, pool is absolutely lovely and the staff are lovely.

Very authentic Italian experience. Big bedroom and comfy bed. 20 minute walk between our room in the city and the swimming pool in the countryside. Lovely environment.

We couldn’t find the remote for the air conditioning, so got cold.

The location is amazing. Just note that the Bed and Breakfast in the city is not the same as the country one. You have to call up the number and a staff member will come to check you in. They have two rooms in the city. Very nice rooms. Had everything we needed. A very impressive little town. Can be stressful getting there by bus, but it all worked out. Plus breakfast is in the square next to The worlds best gelato! Make sure you ask for clear instructions, otherwise you’ll get confused like us.

The mattresses and pillows were pretty hard and uncomfortable and the water pressure and temperature in the shower wasn’t great. The breakfast was also pretty basic and only had cakes, cold meat and cheese.

We stayed in the Two room superior apartment in the city centre. The location was amazing and the view from the room was beautiful. The host was waiting for us when we arrived and was friendly and helpful. The second bedroom, which didn’t have any photos of it in the listing, was quite a lot smaller than the first, but was still comfortable enough for two adults.

The location was amazing, right in the old part of the city. The balcony has the most amazing views of the Tuscan country side and sunrise!

location was amazing right near the centre of town but one street back so so peaceful and quiet at night. our window looked out across the vast plain of orchards and vineyards. Check in was at another location but easy to find. we could drive to the front door of our apartment to drop luggage and then park out of town centre in one of the local paid car parks . about 10 min walk from car park to room but no big problem.

The pool facilities at the farm outside of town were fabulous. We chose to stay in the historic town so most room photos don’t apply (they’re from the accommodation at the farm) but we had no issues at all with the room in town. It’s in a great location at one end of the historic centre and easy access to everywhere in San Gimignano. The farm is around a 30 minute walk from the town accommodation and we were glad we chose to stay where we did, given we could use the pool facilities when we wanted too. Breakfast was in a building around a 3 minute walk away (from the town accommodation) and there was a wide variety of breakfast items available, mostly hand served by a lovely Italian woman. Breakfast is served until 9.30am, not 10am. Andrea was great. He picked us up from the bus stop and drove us and our luggage to the accommodation. Luckily we didn’t have much as it was a Fiat car. Overall, we hand a great two days in San Gimignano, mostly attributed to this booking.
