Breakfast was late and very basic. The towels were very old. The area is close to the station, but a bit uncomfortable to reach by foot.

The bedroom was big with a lot of storage space.

Unfortunately, the ceiling light was not working in our room, we could only use the bedside lamps in the evening. Breakfast was very poor, only a coffee and some biscuits and some juices. We had to wait about 30 minutes in the morning for our host to make the coffee, she was not ready from the start of the breakfast time. This is definitely to be improved on.

The hosts, Jenny and William were very kind and welcoming. The location is excellent-not far away from the town centre in a very quiet and beautiful area, only a 2 minute walk to the nearest tram station which takes you to the town centre.

Hard to recommend until the host family provides a better sense of hospitality toward guests.

I rated this guesthouse at 5, but it could be a 7 or 8 if the host family would change to provide better and much more focused hospitality toward guests. I just didn't get a sense of being welcome or appreciated as a guest. However, everything wrong can be corrected. I hope the host family will do this for their own sake and the sake of guests. Here are my complaints: The host family was quite constantly noisy into each evening, which interfered with my getting to sleep. Both nights, there was longstanding kitchen noise -- clanging plates and silverware, for example -- but, at least, the host curbed it after I asked. The first night, for quite a long time, there was a loud and pretty constantly annoying male voice, and the second night the unwelcome and bothersome voice was that of an apparent child which projected into my room even from upstairs. Easy to fix. The electronics were laughable but easy to fix -- it was difficult to connect to the internet in my room, and the connection was often lost. Also, the host didn't know how to operate the television, and I surely couldn't help her! Easy to fix. Breakfast was something of a joke. Beside coffee or tea, the only things offered were a meager dish of small packaged sweet cakes, a small jar of sugar cookies, a bigger jar of that manufactured dry bread or toast or whatever it's called, and a small assortment of packaged jams. Easy to fix. The second morning, I took the coffee but supplied my own food. Also, the amenity in the bathroom was marginal, featuring one very thin and tired towel, and a bar of soap in the shower that has cleansed many crotches beside my own. Finally housekeeping and cleanliness were suspect: the long black hairs on the desk certainly weren't mine. I've been an inveterate backpacker/budget traveler for 35 years and, by preference, often stay in peoples' homes.

These were the good things: Communication before arrival was in English and excellent. Once I found the place, the location was good -- fairly close to the train station and not too far from Flixbus. However, guests must realize that the house is on the "wrong side of the tracks" from the places a tourist wants to see in Padova and, for example, is a 20+ minute brisk walk from the Basilica of St. Anthony and Prato della Valle. For an old-time backpacker like me, the room itself was adequate, although marginal in some respects. Finally, the garden area was probably nice, but the absence of a spirit of hospitality toward guests discouraged me from using it.

The intercom at the gate apparently does not work or the host ignored it and my ringing the buzzer. I had to send an email to booking dot com that they forwarded to her before I plus get the gate open. Given the pouring rain I did not appreciate how much time elapsed from when I first rang the buzzer and spoke into the intercom identifying myself by name: half hour or so it took me to finally be let in the house. When I was finally let into the house I told the host I had 40 Euros in cash to pay her for my first nights stay, and in the morning would find an ATM machine and get her another 40 euros for my second nights stay. She would not agree and insisted Igo back out onto the rain and immediately get her the money—which I did.

There was supposed to be a free breakfast but the host made no mention of it and I was uncomfortable trying to communicate with her so I had no free breakfast.

The room and especially the bathroom were not very clean, with old towels that really need to be changed. There was no protection from mosquitos on the windows. The breakfast was very poor, only packaged cookies and some jam, coffee or tea. So, don't recommend relying on this breakfast if you need a more consistent meal in the morning. This is a big house where a real family lives. So, there is no "stuff" or "room service". You get a room, a bed and kind of a breakfast. But you share the space with these people, and they are cooking, talking and living their own life. So, this place is not a good choice if you want to have privacy.

The hosts were nice, even though they didn't speak English or Italian so well. The room was well equipped with everything needed. Comfortable bed. The host let us leave our bags before check in. There is a piano, and one of the hosts plays it beautifully. The location is ok, reachable by foot, close to the train station.

Way to the apartment is through not the safest area - i was not comfortable traveling through in the evening. The host was making noises late in the night (around noon) so it was hard to fall asleep. The bathroom was not in the best condition - very old, some parts broken.

    Close to the train station.

It's listed in the property description but I missed it when I booked so I figured I'd emphasize: they are CASH ONLY, and they have no flexibility with this. It wasn't easy for me to extract cash, which made this pretty inconvenient. The location is also a significant walk from the main stuff too see in Padua.

Bare bones property, decent room and bathroom. No breakfast included in my experience.

Weird story. Worm greeting at 10 PM with a termomether, than some crazy piano gig downstairs when me and my 8yo tried to sleep upstairs, plus loud dishwashing or sth, oriental kitchen smell at its best. Woke up with a daugthers finger in my ear that successfully worked as a plug for a deadly tired wanderer that I was. Nevertheless, culture clash worked fine, modest breakfast served, no good evenings, no good byes, no hard feelings, just a crazy half sleep memory. Keeding you not, it is a concert venue.

What I read I got. Plus some free piano night practice.

The smell as you get into the bedroom wasn't ideal, especially for a pregnant woman with nausea. Mold in the bathroom as there is no window, which might possibly be where the odor comes from. The TV didn't work whatsoever. Only cash accepted.

The room was very big and the bed was very comfortable. In the proximity of the train station, with the possibility of leaving the car there. (There is also a big parking garage not too far, even closer to the train station, as we left our car there for 6 hours whilst getting on the train to Venice, for just 4€). The host was very nice.

quiet place located 1.5 km from the center in the private sector. In the evenings, many migrants were seen on the streets in this area.

Quiet place in the private sector. The neighbors didn't bother me. Not far from the center if you use transport. 40 min walk. The hostess treated us to coffee and offered tea. The hotel is located on a fairly narrow street where parking is difficult, but the hostess offers a parking space in the hotel courtyard. You need to be warned about this in advance. Overall the hotel made a good impression.
