The location was perfect. Perched on the edge of Sasso Barisano but with every convenience on hand, incl a gorgeous tea shoppe, post office, bookshop, supermarket. Very short walks to main Piazzo with tourist office, to Palazzo Lanfranchi, a plethora of restaurants. My room (first floor, with terrace) had a 180 degree view of the sasso, divine. Great to find a room with decent reading chair, desk, and light. Great pillows! Mimmo and Pina were extremely helpful throughout my time. I simply loved my experience of Matera and my accommodation.

I recommend this property highly. Excellent location, overlooking a piazza. Excellent access to both sassis, which are both right there from the property. Plenty places to eat, have a drink etc. The cafe they use for breakfast has nice baked goods each morning and the coffee is good. Dominico and his family are lovely and are excellent hosts who are there for you during your visit for any questions or needs.

This is a darling small BnB right at the old town on a nice square, walkable to everything. We particularly liked the location because it was at the top of the Sassi area and therefore had a view over everything. A lovely young woman (sorry I can't remember her name) spoke perfect English, checked us in early, helped us connect to the internet, and made a lunch reservation for us. Our room was bright and spotless with a door out to a shared terrace that overlooked the Sassi. Our travel companions had another room which had a balcony overlooking the square which was equally lovely. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms very nice with large showers (unusual in Italy) nice towels and bath products. There is no breakfast at the BnB at this time due to COVID but we got vouchers for coffees and pastries at a nearby cafe. Parking is at a garage about 5-10 minute walk from the BnB is $15E per day. Call the hotel in advance as directed in the reservation. Apparently they can arrange to pick up your luggage, but we just walked which was fine since we travel light. There are two flights of steep stairs to keep in mind if you have large heavy bags or mobility issues. Remember this is a BnB, not a hotel therefore you need to deal with your own bags and know that there is no staffed front desk. It was a great overnight stay and I highly recommend this accommodation

I would suggest to put some flowers on the balcony and trow away the old and dry plants. And to clean more the vases outside because I found some smoked cigarettes and it gives a nasty impression. Other than that, everything was perfect!
