A warm welcome, great location, spacious apartment in a glorious building! The bed was comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, Anita even left us some baked goods to enjoy and let us know we could get the lift to the top floor to enjoy a fantastic view of Ortigia.

Nothing - it was all perfect!

This apartment was the best we have encountered. It was spotless, with lots of space and had everything we needed. Anita was a wonderful host. She took the initiative and organised a vehicle pass for us so that we wouldn’t be fined for entering any restricted zone. She met us at the property so we could unload our luggage and then escorted us to the parking station. Any inquiry we had was quickly answered. The breakfast pastries were outstanding. The apartment block had a rooftop terrace overlooking Siracusa - great for a sunset drink! We could not fault this place and would gladly stay here again.

Thank you Anita for the welcome cake and sweets! Thank you for picking us up from the train station and taking us back to departure. The apartment is located in the central area, close to restaurants, shops and areas of tourist interest. The apartment was very clean, air conditioning, facilities, coffee machine, washing machine. Every day someone took care of the garbage, we were supplied with water, coffee and tea. Anita was a great host, for sure we will ruturn. Grazie!

There is nothing negative to say.

The location was ideal for exploring the area. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby and a supermarket around the corner. The host greeted us on arrival and left us a delicious cake as well as coffee and tea. Anita also took us to the train station on the day we left. The apartment is a good size and very comfortable.

The laundry room is shared with the neighboring property which is also owned by Anita. When we were there, the neighboring property was empty, so we had the laundry room to ourselves.

Everything about this property was wonderful. The location was perfect; within walking distance to everything. The kitchen was completely stocked with utensils and even with some condiments. The large bathroom had plenty of towels. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and detergent, a drying rack and an ironing board. Best of all was Anita and her assistant. On our arrival, they picked us up at the bus station and returned us there a few days later when we departed. The assistant came daily to give us bottled water, empty the trash and to see that everything was okay.

Central location comes with traffic and city noise. You wouldn't be able to leave the windows open during the night. Bad smell from the sewers in one of the apartments but this is due to some issues with the building sewer pipes.

Good value for money. Central location. We had few issues with the apartment and the owner did her best to resolve it. Kitchen has all you need if you decide to prep some food. There is utility room with washing machine.

Was a little noisy with renovating nearby and cafes . All quiet from late night to 8 am .

Excellent location , Main Street, close to bridge and markets.Spacious with lots of light and windows,regular cleaning and contact . Welcome baking was fabulous. The pick up from the station .

It was a bit noisy during the night

Very nice Italian breakfast. They provided an handmade cake on the first day as well. Very good location on the main high street, very close to all amenities and restaurants. The apartment was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

An excellent host, she met us at the bus station and drove us into town. We then happened to meet her again in the market where she helped us get a table at a busy restaurant. Couldn't have been more helpful! The accommodation was great. Clean, well furnished and in a very central location.

Thank you, Mrs. Anita, for your warm welcome. First, a surprise with picking us up with luggage from the bus station to the very clean apartment. And secondly, for the delicious tart and meringues that were waiting for us. Elegant apartment, wooden floor! comfortable beds, new windows with blinds that effectively suppress the noise from the outside and beautiful curtains . We had everything we needed plus a washing machine with a small dryer. Apartment cleaned, linen and towels changed. The price of the apartment includes an Italian breakfast (toast, butter, jams, chocolate, juices, coffee, water). Apartment on the beautiful Matteotti street close to everything, grocery store around the corner, right next to Viola cafe and restaurants. We spent a wonderful 11 days. If we ever come back to Sicily, we will definitely go to the Residence Matteotti. We also recommend a very good bar with delicious coffee, cannoli, granita and drinks decorated in a beautiful style! Erminio, the fantastic owner and the bar is called Erminio Bar. We really recommend you to drop by, and not only once. It is on the road to bus and train station, very convenient to start or end trips. Another good bar with delicious coffee and cornetto is Bar del Corso on Corso Umberto. We recommend delicious ice cream in the Voglia Matta bar also on Corso Umbertto. On the other hand, the best car rental is I-Rent on Corso Umberto 1, 4 96100 Siracusa - normal prices and not excessive as in traditional chain stores, eg AWIZ, Rent a Car.

It was very well equipped in a very thoughtful way and clean. Good air conditioning. Anita the host made us a very delicious welcoming cake. The location is excellent close to everything. I highly recommend it.

The apartment is located in a strategic point in the Ortigia island. The flat is well-organized and very comfortable. On top the host is very kind and careful on making the guests feeling at ease during their stay. I strongly recommend it and I will definitely come back.

It was a really well-equipped apartment, it was clean and with everything what we needed, with washing machine and kitchen area. Anita is a wonderful host, she came to the bus station to pick up us by car, it was a really great help. The apartment is in a really good location, in the heart of the old town, Ortigia.

Nothing bothered us really. While we were staying, the WiFi had some service disruptions. We just used our mobile data which was fine with us.

The b&b is located in a cool Art Deco building at the entrance of the Ortigia, 2 mins between Greek Tempio di Apolo and Piazza Achimede. The location is great for exploring the historic centre of Syracusa on foot. The rooms are clean and kitchen is well equipped. The bed is comfy. Anita and Alberto are super nice hosts. We didn't rented a car in Sicily. Anita picked us from the train station and helped us arrange a tour to a sightseeing place without the public transport. When she knew we would like to go birdwatching in Saline Nature Reserve Priolo, she asked Alberto drive us there. We had a lovely time visiting the reserve with Alberto, seeing a lot of Flamingos. We stayed 3 nights in Siracusa. This last leg of our Sicily holiday was so memorable because of Anita and Alberto's great hospitality. They are the best!
