Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Everything about this hotel is excellent. I had a room with a terrace and it’s lovely and quiet at night. Breakfast is good and the owners are very helpful. It’s at the top of the main street, so lots of exercise.

United States of AmericaTowels were a little thin, but not a big deal.
Breakfast was great. Fresh lemon croissants! Amazing cappuccinos made on the spot! Simone was so delightful and helpful with traveling by train and made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Kept our bags a few hours extra after check out.

Hong KongThe hotel owner was very nice - they originally assigned two rooms side by side on the top floor for us. But when he realised my parents will struggle climbing up 2 flights of stairs, he immediately offered us another room on the ground floor. We really appreciated the kind gesture. You’ll also get to enjoy a nice breakfast in a lovely garden full of lemons and kumquat. The owner also gave us a few super large lemons which we brought back to show/ share with my nephews! As expected, the kids were amazed by them. The place is also relatively close to the nearest parking outside of the village where you don’t need a permit to park. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. Will def recommend.

New ZealandReally great location, room was spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good - although best to keep in mind that it is not a continental breakfast with variety. Nice view out of our window and lovely outdoor garden although we did not have time to use it. I would recommend and stay again :)

United States of AmericaWe missed proteins in the breakfast. It was mainly sweet, but incredibly good. There is not elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage, it could be a little bit of inconvenience.
We loved everything about this place. We will repeat for sure. The location is the best if you arrive by car, it was spotless, modern and with a lot of space, the views are amazing, the breakfast is delicious and the staff is very nice. We would recommend this place to our family and friends.

United States of AmericaBed was very hard. I could not sleep well because of this. I know some people like a firm bed, but I need a soft mattress to sleep well. I understand this is my fault as I need to read reviews more closely because of this personal issue and carefully consider staying at places that only have soft beds from now on or request this. No real artwork in room on walls. I thought at least one picture would have made it nicer.
Manager / owner? was friendly and helpful about local information and allowed us access to his kumquat tree fruit. Croissants at breakfast were very nice. Room was very clean and had nice view of garden / lemon trees yard.

United States of AmericaWe loved everything about this place! Would stay again!!
Cute and clean hotel with amazingly friendly staff and delicious breakfast pastries and cappuccinos. The owner, Simon, is very friendly and helpful! It's neat to learn about this place and how it was Simon's great grandfathers house! The room had a fantastic view, was extremely clean, and was in a great easily walkable location just a few minutes walk from the train station. The breakfast pastries were probably the best croissants I ate in all of Italy! And I'm still dreaming about the cappuccino!! I don't think I'll ever find a cappuccino that good again!

United States of AmericaNothing. Great property. Only thing they might change is the comforter. The bed was very comfortable. While the towels look thinner, they are actually surprisingly absorbent and worked well.
It has a terrific location with the kindest staff. Breakfast was really delicious with freshly baked breads and wonderful cappuccinos. We thoroughly enjoyed overnight in Manarola. So peaceful and relaxed.

United KingdomUnfortunately the air conditioning and fan didn’t seem to work (which was fine as we could open the window as it wasn’t too hot during our stay). Whilst the room was clean the polished concrete managed to look dirty as it had marks on it everywhere and the bedspread looked rather worn and tired. The walk from the station, as stated before, is quite a way with luggage, involving steps up and down at the station, a long tunnel and a 5-10 minute walk up a steep road. This is the nature of the beautiful Cinque Terre towns however but I would not really class the hotel as “close” to the station.
The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and clean with a large firm bed and crisp bed linen. The shower was good and the place looked newly decorated with good coffee at breakfast. We liked Manarola and we were pleased to stay overnight after all the day visitors had gone.

United KingdomThis is really pedantic but it would have been nice to have had a couple of bottles of water left in the fridge and I could imagine some people preferring “fluffy towels” rather than the linen / tablecloth type
Big fan of this really lovely 10 room Boutique hotel which I believe has been in the family now for 3 generations. Refurbished I understand in the last 5 years or so, our basic room had plenty of electrical sockets, hangars (sounds ridiculous but 95% of hotels don’t), and a large trendy bathroom with a very large walking in shower (with two heads). The owner was charming and the breakfasts large with the owner offering top up of orange juice, cappuccino etc. Location is easy too

United KingdomOur room was spacious with modern facilities that made our stay comfy and pleasant. We even had a small garden for ourselves with a lovely lemon tree, table and chairs and enjoy the view over the village. I truly embrace the way the hotel is designed with the blend of nature into the stay of the guests, we had breakfast with the view to the garden and could go out and walk under the trees. Breakfast was generous but I wish the bread and croissant could be warmed up for guests during freezing days. The owner was kind and very helpful. Love chatting with him to understand more about the village, weather, how people there works and lives... Location was great, just a short distance from the station and restaurants. However, the way up is steep and can be a challenge for those with heavy suitcases - better leave yours in public lockets.
