Mattress was very hard but this seems always to be the case in Italy it seems. Furniture etc. a little outdated, but we do like this very much.

Wi fi didn"t work in our room. We were too far from router. Wi-fi worked well if I walked down the hallway. I advised of problem but they were unable to fix it. Difficult to reach hotel. A public bus is available from the train station to the historic district gates. From there, a 400 metre walk, very steep, on cobblestone streets to hotel. We were dripping in sweat after hauling our luggage up the steep streets. No taxis available to take you directly to hotel.

Not the fault of the hotel, but GPS is not as effective as one would hope in getting to the address. Streets are confusing even to GPS. Thankfully there are kind people in town to help sort out some of the location issues.

Breakfast was fine, not fancy but very adequate to get your day going.

`As a 78 year old senior, I did not like the hike up the hill from the bus station (about a quarter mile) pulling a large suitcase but I could have taken a taxi.

The continental breakfast was good, the location was convenient and the staff was very nice and friendly. We are smokers and smoked out in front of the B&B on the street the first couple of nights then the owner showed us a comfortable place to smoke in the patio up on the roof of the building. It was beautiful up there.

Ground floor room was noisy. You could hear people at the front desk and street noise. It was not the pretty rooms in the pictures. So ask for one of those if you want something a bit special. It had an ugly acoustic tile ceiling. The shower door needs replacing.

It’s in a convenient location. A ground floor room made it easy to bring our luggage inside. We had three heavy bags because we were traveling home the next day. But that convenience came in the form of a drab room with street noise.

- The furniture is outdated, shower cabin was broken, the room was not cleaned perfectly. - A poor breakfast of a few kinds of pastry and not the best coffee.

Very friendly staff and well organized room. A cosy and beautiful yard for breakfasts. Nice lobby where you can play chess and enjoy reading.
