Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Everything was perfect!
Such a wonderful place to stay! The location couldn't be more perfect, the staff was exceptionally helpful, and the rooms were comfortable and beautiful! Would definitely stay here again!

Incredible location right in Amalfi central area, close to the water, cafes, and walks up into the valley were very easy from here. The windows blocked out the noise from the square, so we could have some quiet space to ourselves when we wanted. We adored this place. Highly recommend!!

This host went above and beyond in every aspect of our stay. Between a full filling breakfast for all four people brought to our room, giving us plenty of recommendations, and ensuring we were comfortable in every aspect of our stay - I have never felt more welcomed at a location. The room is extremely central, right next to the Duomo and right off the beach, and extremely spacious with two floors. I would come back just to stay here!

Nothing, all great.
The apartment was HUGE and the staff were very accommodating and we were able to check in early. The room directly overlooked the main square and is adjacent to the duomo!! Although the square was noisy, the windows were very effective at blocking the sound.

We loved it and would definitely stay again.
The location was awesome - right above the main square. It was so lovely to open the windows and listen to the bustling below, had an amazing atmosphere. Having said that, when you closed the windows, it blocked out most of the noise so was easy to get to sleep. The staff were amazing and available for any needs, were very kind when we locked ourselves out of the room. Cannot fault the staff - so awesome. Someone met us at the ferry and gave us information straight away. The apartment was clean and tidy, comfy beds, great artwork on the floor tiles.

Shower was very small with an extremely large shower head, but that didn’t affect our stay at all
Perfect location, stairwell leads directly off main square, with just one flight of stairs to the entrance Room was large Staff provided us with an iron and ironing board when requested. Staff met us at the ferry terminal and walked with us to the room.

It was a very nice stay! The place is incredible, right next to the central square. The host was very friendly and rooms were very clean and cleaned each day. Highly recommend!

- The room was really beautiful and spacious with a beautiful view at the central square. The staff had equipped the room with some treats and coffee/tea and whatever we were eating they were replenishing every day. - The staff met us at the port and they took us to the hotel which was less than a 5 min walk from the port, they were super helpful and friendly. - We loved the location of the hotel, very central overlooking the main square and really close to all the shops and the beach. The first night was a bit noisy but it was only because there was a concert happening at the square, but it finished at a reasonable time and the rest of our stay there was very quiet even though it was so centrally located, we couldn't hear any noise from other rooms or the street.

The location of this property is excellent! It’s in the centre of Amalfi and close to everything. The staff are excellent and the room was perfect!

Absolutely perfect location and most spacious property! Loved the mix of old charm and modern fixtures. Beautiful view overlooking the main square and minutes away from great shopping, food, beaches. Can’t beat the perfect location right above Pansa the best bakery and coffee!

Tea and coffee available but no milk and fridges don't keep anything cold so milk goes off a day after you buy it.

The shower was a little difficult to get in and out of because of the shape of the doors.
Sara at reception was just amazing! From the excellent communication through WhatsApp to the little touches in the room like the free tote bag, welcome wine and list of recommended restaurants, Sara and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. And the location!!!!!!! It was right in the plaza next to the church! We couldn't get a more convenient location! Particularly as my mum is in her 70s and not overly mobile. The room was HUGE! We had a king size bed and a single. The TV had Netflix. I booked almost 6 months in advance and the cost per night was very reasonable. Particularly by Amalfi standards.

The room was amazing and such a perfect location in the Amalfi Square and next to the beach. Almost no stairs and great staff. It also wasn't noisy considering its location.

Slightly pricey but given the fabulous location cant complaint too much
Great location and very friendly supportive and accomodating staff. Went out of the way to receive us late for check in, provide recommendations for nearby restaurants and for the commute back to the airport.
