Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe walls are quite thin so you can hear people in the next room speaking and the bathroom is quite small and a little dated, although it appears they are doing some renovations in the building.
The room was spacious, clean and bed was comfy. Perfect for a solo traveller. The location was amazing, a less than 10 minute walk from the Colosseum. There are restaurants right infront of the hotel and it is a lively space in the evening. Close to many shops as well and the walking distance to other sites is not too bad (Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, etc - about 20 minutes). For theprice and location I would highly recommend this hotel. Hotel staff were also welcoming and friendly.

AustraliaThere aren’t enough powerpoints. The ones near the desk were used for the table lamp and phone. Had to unplugged those to charge my laptop while working. There’s no powerpoint near the bed. The only other powerpoint is at the foot of the bed which is rather awkward. The housekeepers were also really noisy during the day so it’s hard to nap especially after a long flight to Rome.
About 20 mins walk from train station, trevi foundation and Spanish steps. Super closed to colosseum too.

United KingdomThe room we had was quite small but this is what we expected from our booking. The walls seemed quite thin as you could hear people walking past/talking in the corridor.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, hotel was very clean and the lobby was well looked after and relaxing. The room was exactly as it was pictured on the website and they gave us free champagne because it was our honeymoon!

CroatiaOur window shutters couldn’t be fully opened due to construction outside, so we always had to be in the dark. The beds are quite small though for us it wasn’t an issue.
The location was amazing - walking distance from all of the attractions, we didn’t have to use public transport at all. Also walking distance from the train station. The breakfast was good with solid selection.

ArmeniaHotel has two types of rooms: first, where windows are opened towards a small square behind the hotel and second, where windows are looking on the inner yard, walls of the yard were undergoing restoration and metal scaffolding where placed. I was staying in the second type of room and had no wi-fi, probably because the abovementioned reason. If it is temporary problem it is ok, but if not- it should be solved somehow. Breakfast was scarce and repeating every day, but it is so accepted in most of European hotels. If i will come for the second time, I will obviously prefer to have breakfast in one of the cafes around
Room was perfectly clean and staff was well-mannered and always ready to help. The location is 7 minutes walking time from Colosseum and a minute walking time from metro station, besides there is a small square right behind the hotel, which makes the place even more appealing.

SerbiaIt is unbelievable that you cannot get coffee unless you pay for full breakfast or go outside. People need coffee to start the day and sometimes breakfast is sth you just want to change or do outside the hotel (especially if you are there over 2-3 days). I think this is easy to fix, and has high relevance (it doesn’t even have to be free or included, but shouldn’t come at a cost of full breakfast of 15 eur)
Location great. Breakfast really OK, not too versatile, but good quality food. Essentially, really good place in good location, with good staff and OK rooms (small but sufficient)
