Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumThis hotel really is one of a kind - a painstakingly restored medieval castle with a beautiful garden, a pool and perfect vistas of the Tuscan hills. An absolutely fabulous place!

FranceFantastic experience in this beautifully renovated medieval castle. Kaci and Antonio, the hosts, are absolutely wonderful and full of great ideas of visits, restaurants, tips ... A huge Thanks to them for their kindness ! The castle is very close to a main highway and ideally situated close to Siena and midway of Florence and Assisi. The pool is an ideal place to rest and refresh after a day of visits. We absolutely loved Castello Delle Serre.

HungaryEverything was amazing.
This is just a fantastic property in a fantastic location. It's a fully refurbished castle once owned by nobilities, and you feel that way from the moment you enter the premises. The views are amazing too from the windows. The location is strategic, from where you can easily explore most of the famous Tuscan small towns and wine regions (plus the surrounding nature). There is free parking and also a very handsome swimming pool. However, the best "feature" is the owner Antonio (Anthony) and his wife Kacey. They are Italian-Americans, so you can expect not only excellent English but also a high level of friendliness and hospitality. They make you really feel at home and give you plenty of tips and recommendations (and even help you reserve tables).

Nestled in a medieval Villa, amidst awe-inspiring natural beauty, lies a castle-hotel that is nothing short of a fairytale dream come true. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this place was more than just a luxurious accommodation; it was an experience crafted with love and attention to detail. The combination of a magnificent castle setting, impeccable care, and the warm presence of two cultured hosts, Antonio and Kacy, made our stay truly unforgettable. By the way, what truly set this castle-hotel apart was the genuine care and hospitality extended by the hosts. Their passion for ensuring a memorable experience was evident in every aspect of our stay. From the moment we checked in until our departure, they were readily available, always wearing welcoming smiles, and eager to assist us with any request or inquiry.

United States of AmericaWish the weather was a little warmer so we could have used the pool -- it looked amazing.
Loved it!!! The property is absolutely gorgeous! It was amazing to stay in a real castello. We had a huge room with lovely furnishings and cool view of the church across the street. Breakfast was delicious and filling. There is an "honor" bar for wine in the evenings which was an appreciated perk. And the location is realy great--we drove all over the surrounding countryside and this was a good home base. But the best part are the hosts! Antonio was absolutely wonderful. He was attentive, friendly, and interested in making sure that we had a pleasant stay. That should be expected. But he offered so much more! He gave us all kinds of helpful information about what to see, where to go, where to eat, how the drive would be, where to park, etc. etc. etc. We felt like we had our own private tour operator! His family (wife, cute kids and father) were equally charming and wonderful. The only thing we have left to do now is book another, longer, stay!

AustraliaShower head was a bit wobbly, and kept sliding down the wall making it hard to shower.
Beautiful hotel, situated in a small village with wonderful views and walking distance to traditional restaurants. The gardens and swimming pool were stunning. However, for me, the best facility was a comfortable reading chair, next to the window in our room which looked out to a great view and a wonderful sunset. Magic!

United States of AmericaThere was nothing we didn't like. Our stay was perfect.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty at Castello Delle Serre. The castle's owners (a father and son team) are wonderful people and excellent hosts. The castle has its own private parking which makes it easy to travel here by car. The hotel is located a mere 4 minutes from Rapolano Terme where you have a choice of two divine thermal spas to visit. The premises are immaculately clean and lavishly decorated with period furnishings. The halls are sumptuously frescoed and filled with history. We stayed in a suite with a balcony with sweeping views over the countryside. The breakfast was comprised of freshly baked croissants, yogurt, fresh fruit, cappuccino, juice, and eggs made to order. There are various excellent restaurants in the area as well as charming hilltop towns to explore. Stay at Castello Delle Serre if you are looking for an unforgettable and magical getaway.

GermanyThis place is nothing less than 10 out of 10. We came here during summer season and were lucky to get a room even though we only booked a couple of days before our arrival. We came from a rather bad place in Florence and just wanted to get a nice place to rest for a few days and were not disappointed at all. Castello Delle Serre is just an amazing place to put it short. The castle is a small, family run hotel that made us feel comfortable right from the start. Salvatore, Antonio and their family gave us a really nice welcome and amazed with their hospitality. They made dinner reservations for us and had very helpful recommendations for restaurants or which vineyards to visit. Also it was very easy to communicate as our Italian is quite bad but Salvatore and Antonio are almost English natives :) All in all this place and actually the whole town just feels like an Italian cliché (in a positive way) yet super authentic. We would recommend for anybody looking for an authentic experience of Tuscany in a family style hotel.
