The pool was very cold, but then again it was the beginning of May, and it was raining the most of the days so we couldn't have use it any way. The last 1,5 km of the road is a dirty uphill road but nothing we couldn't handle. We loved our stay here.

Everything was amazing, the apartment was huge, our daughter was delighted with her bedroom and toilet upstairs. The view is breathtaking, overlooking San Gimignano and Tuscan hills with vineyards. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, although we didn't use it as much. Serena is a wonderful host, she explained us everything we needed to know. We had heating because it was couple of cold and rainy days, although it was May, so we had all the comfort. We would love to come here again.

Annoying little extras such as 5 Euros for a pool towel, 5 Euros to use the washing machine, 5 Euros to use the dryer etc. Please make these available at no cost and, if you must, increase the weekly rent. Could be more welcoming with some water/wine in the fridge for new arrivals.

Beautiful location with views of San Gimignano in the distance although the property is reached by 1 1/2 km of unmade road. Excellent on site restaurant and also a large terrace for early evening drinks.

Only minor comment about the bed, I am 193 cm tall and the bed frame was not comfortable for my stretched legs.

The location, the view, the atmosphere, the pool and the hospitality of the staff was fantastic.

Surreal beauty. It was a dream holiday for us. Situated on hill, with breathtaking view on medieval town of San Gimignano, vineyards & cypress trees. Scenic window view from the bed with a sound of birds chirping is unforgettable. Apartment was wonderful, beautiful authentic furniture, well-kept garden and a wonderful large pool. Serena, outstanding lady who runs Castello, was just great and super helpful. Kind and assertive, gave us so many useful information (about history, wonderful places to visit - wineries, restaurants, hiking roads...). Even short, unpaved part of the road only added beauty to this scenic look, and it seems it is obligatory to remains like this (in order to preserve natural beauty of Tuscany). We are coming back for sure.

Although the restaurant is a separate business from the accommodation it would be lovely if they could offer breakfast - but really you just need to come prepared and do some shopping in Poggibonsi before arriving.

Lovely apartment with the most incredible views from every window. This is such a peaceful place to stay. Serena, our host, was so helpful and kind. We really enjoyed our stay and just wish we could have had a few more days.

There was not one negative thing I can say about this place. Although ad did say there was a washing machine in apartment when there wasnt but perfectly adequate communual washing and drying for 5 euro was available

Serena was a pleasure to deal with. From the very beginning she has helped prior to stay and when we arrived provided comprehensive information about the accomodation, places to eat, visit and park. Accomodation is stunning. A little remote to get to at first but you soon learn! Well worth the trip. views are spectacular, accomodation first class. Tip to visit poggibonsi markets. Thankyou. Everything was perfect.

Only big smiles. Views from the apartment were fantastic. It is very nicely located in the area close to San Gimignano and Volterra. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom were all very good. The swimming pool is fantastic (can be one of the best that we’ve ever seen so far).

We are traveling to Italy since 2010. Castello di Fulignano is one of the best location we have visited.Is the best place if You are looking for apartament with great views and exeptional service. Additional advantage is an restaurant located on site.

Missing nets against the mosquitos. If you cannot sleep with AC you ask the mosquitoes to visit you every night 🤣

Very nice place, very well equipped. Pleasant and tidy swimming pool. Great Tuscany view. Serena is very helpful and nice. Highly recommended. Great location if you want to visit all Tuscany interesting cities. We saw Sienna, Firenze, San Gimignano, Voltarra, Pisa, Lucca, Monte Riggioni and many other cities and places.

The rooms and furniture are very old. Mattresses are probably 15-20 years old. The showers are also not good and the water always changes between hot and cold while showering. Kitchen equipment really used and not in good shape. Really think that we overpay for this one.
