- The cleanliness left much to be desired (the shower curtain was not very clean) - the room had only one narrow window and it was stuffy all the time - tactilely unpleasant blankets (in Italy, there are usually no duvet covers, so you have to sleep under a sheet with a blanket on top, which was uncomfortable) - uncomfortable bed. However, it was disappointing that when we booked, we requested a better room within the booked category (our first time in Venice), and were assured that everything was okay, but in the end, we got the worst room shown in the pictures. The window was very small, and the room was quite stuffy. - Seagulls and mosquitoes are there, but that's not the hotel's fault; you need to be prepared for that when traveling to Venice.

- Very friendly people at the reception, they tried to help with all questions. - The location is perfect - near the promenade, St. Mark's Square is a 5-minute walk away. - regular cleaning, - everything that was listed in the room description was there. Also, they allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hours after check-out.

Rooms a little dated in decor:walls needed painted but very clean. Air con didn’t work, we asked for take away breakfast on lot last morning for early flight and for two people we got 3 small packets of crackers, 2 jam portions, one apple and one orange, that was such a disappointment after the breakfasts being good and served by a lovely helpful lady

Everything. The staff was lovely, the room perfect, the breakfast wonderful - everything about it. I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Venice. Oh, and the location could not be better. Perfect hotel.

Location unbeatable. Friendly staff, great continental breakfast was included. Wonderful little eating locations, bars and ferries all within a minute of the accommodation. Next to Doges Palace, Bridge of Sighs and a 3 minute walk from St Marks Square. Would rebook without hesitation.

The AC in our room did not work which made for a hot night. We did sleep with the windows open which was nice but a bit noisy.

The location is close to the center of Venice activities and close to a water taxi stop making getting there easy.

In these times where many hotels do not go the extra mile, Hotel Commercio & Pellegrino did. When I got to my room I found a very nice metal box of local cookies as a gift. I also forgot my toothpaste and they were kind enough to get me something that would take care of my morning at work until I could buy one the next day. The buffet breakfast was super complete and pleasant. The price of the products in the mini bar is as affordable as if you were buying at a local store. The location is less than 5 minutes walking from St. Mark's Square.

Hotel has same challenges as most other hotels in Venice -water pressure not great ;wifi not great. Air con only for summer was a bit frustrating as was hot when we were there. Great stay though and would stay again

Great location- very close to the boat stop which made it very easy with suitcases. Easy walk to most places, very handy to cafes etc.Room was spacious, breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly. Windows when closed made room soundproof

All staff needs to understand that smiling should be mandatory - I am referencing one person only who did start smiling before we checked out of the property.

The staff were most enjoyable, very polite and extremely accommodating. Any directions they gave were spot on. They helpful in locating local eating establishments.

We had 1 night stay here to visit as many places as possible. It was so easy to do this from here. The staff could not do enough for us and will always be grateful. The hotel could not have better presented. Everything was perfect.

The fact it should be noted that the lift does not reach the upper floor especially for older and physically challenged people.

So convenient for St Marks square and the attractions. The hotel represented good value given the location. One word of caution the hotel ha a lift however it does not go to the top floor. As my wife has certain health issues we had to request a move which the hotel did the next day. Judy couldn’t find fault with the hotel given its location and the cost.

Just a vit noisy from the trolleys in the alley way but not too bad once you close the windows

Its is very well located to get around Venice. The staff were so helpful and gave us lots of local info as well, helped us with transport and restaurant ideas away from the crowds. The room was comfy and a lovely bathroom

No heating control in room which was too warm but opening the window admitted some noise.

The bed and pillow were a little hard for my taste, but other than that it was a great place.

The location of this hotel was absolutely unbeatable! We were right near St. Marks Square, the Palace, and above all the San Zaccharia Vapperato stop. The staff, especially Phillepo, were very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was great with many choices and delicious cappuchino and pastry.

Location was great, right near Grand Canal with lots of lovely eateries close by. Staff were friendly & accommodating. Small boutique hotel.
