Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaCouldn't get a seat on the rooftop bar. And this is going to sound dumb but the property is almost too nice.....If looking for that old world Rome boutique style hotel this isn't it but it is an absolutely beautifully done property, just reminded me of New York a little too much.
The hotel is gorgeous, modern renovation to mimic classic rome style as close as possible Breakfast was great and facilities were absolutely fantastic. Incredible location right at the Piazza Novona.

United KingdomI stayed in a double room, which from the pictures looked fairly spacious, however, this is deceiving and the room/living space was small. It was a special birthday for my Mum and this was very disappointing. There was no view which I’m sure other double rooms were facing the Piazza Navona.
The building was amazing as it’s from the renaissance but has been renovated to what it is a beautiful property with an exceptional rooftop bar with spectacular 360 view of Rome. The rooms were spotlessly clean and breakfast was lovely.

United States of AmericaThe negative reviews I read online. I don’t think these people even stayed at the same hotel!
The location was second to none. The front desk staff was helpful and professional and courteous. We got in early. Room not ready. Felt like my luggage was very safe in the hotel while we went exploring and waiting for check in time. There was always a guard at the entrance. Loved getting to stay in a palace! Room was comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, on the rooftop patio or inside. Hotel was wonderful as they helped us recover a lost item. The restaurants on the street of the hotel entrance was some of the best food I’ve ever had. I read a lot of reviews and was very careful where I booked our stay. This hotel did have some bad reviews over the years but I have to tell you, I HAVE NO IDEA WHY! I have zero criticisms to say about this property. This is where I will stay when I return to Rome. Rooftop bar had breathtaking views in every direction! It’s downtown Rome. Expect some noise late at night or in the morning if you keep your windows open. Not every room has a view of the piazza but every room has a view of the rooftop skyline of beautiful Rome.

United Kingdom1. Bar upstairs closes early. However, there's plenty of Restaurant Bar around the hotel as an option.
1. Location was at the centre. 25mins walk to the Vatican City. Close to Pantheon. 2. Bus stops was a minute or two walking distance from the hotel 3. Staff were very helpful. Shout out to Jobert & Roland who assist us more than we expected. 4. Room is very clean.

United States of AmericaThis isn’t a knock on the hotel but something to be aware of any stay in a popular c area of Rome. There is a lot of noise in the Piazza until about 2 or 3AM. Not a huge problem for us but others may want to pack some earplugs and pop those in before bed. We still slept very well in our enormous bed.
The location in Rome is fantastic, overlooking Piazza Navona. We were upgraded to a two room suite which was a wonderful surprise. The room was beautiful with frescos on the ceiling. GREAT water pressure in the shower. Very modern and updated. Also included a very generous breakfast buffet. Roof top bar was cool, but a little expensive.

ItalyWe asked for a quiet room as a request for our of reservation. Unfortunately, the room wasn’t that quiet. We had to change it. The room for breakfast is small and not offering a big variety of food options. Despite some issues with noise, it is still a great hotel.
The location is amazing, just few steps away from Navona Square. Second time at the rooftop bar which is open during winter as well. The views from the terrace and the outside restaurant are spectacular, cannot wait to go back in summer. The hotel gave us the chance to change our reservation date super last minute for no additional fee, such a great treat.

United Arab EmiratesWe liked everything. Only their breakfast menu can have some options. It was same every day.
The hotel is a boutique one. Very conveniently located at piazza novena. Every tourist attraction other than colosseum and few are walkable and we were spoilt for choices for food, restaurants and cafe. Too many of them. The hotel also has a very good rooftop restaurant.

United States of AmericaWe have been traveling to Italy through Rome annually for the past 10 years; and I have to say this is by far has friendliest staff I have encountered thus far! Mind you… most Italians are friendly and welcoming. However; The Borromini has left an impression like no other. Reserving dinner reservations at the greatest restaurant, welcoming our children with such love, the most amazing restaurant staff whom greeted us each morning with a smile and such warmth, and helping us locate our lost luggage at the airport, and making sure it was delivered in a timely manner. Thank you Borromini for making us feel at home. We look forward to seeing you again soon. With love and admiration, The Amyotte Family~
