Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe location is far from ideal.
The staff was very helpful and saved us by finding the ring we forgot in our room. Our check-in was very late due to a delayed flight. The receptionist was very kind and friendly. The rooms were big and there was not much noise so we slept well. All in all a nice hotel for a fair price.

IrelandThe location is a bit out of town but a great, cheap, regular bus service sorted that. The only point would be to alert guests that the service from town stops around 9.45pm.
It was a perfectly comfortable, great value stay. Staff were great & the €5 breakfast was great value. Damiano very kindly brought us to town on one day.

United States of AmericaI didn’t care for the mattress ( memory foam ) but my friend loved it. Had to request the to be opened and it was hot and no A/C on, I guess for power conservation.
Breakfast was great, large variety eggs, meats, fruits and pastries. The staff was nice and helpful. Lights in the hall are on motion sensor so you didn’t have light coming under your door ( gap ) all night. They have blackout curtains so you can sleep in.

SerbiaHotel is very outdated and in the middle of nowhere. It takes good 20 minutes walk to downtown. Quite expensive for what it has to offer. No airconditioning in room, but if you open the windows, mosquitos will eat you alive. Hotel Really need to be restaureted, it seems like stucked in 90s.
Staff were amazing. Antonio from restaurant, and also a chef who was serving. Damiano from reception too, amazing. They are all very nice and pleasant, and were ready to help with any question or request

ItalyThe quality of the food was not excellent, it was Ok. For example the chicken one night was not very tasty at all. There are not many options in terms of vegetables at all. Heavy on meat and pork.
breakfast was Ok, but not very special, like the croissants were industrial, not fresh from a bakery, fruits were not of good quality, the rest was Ok.

SwedenIt seemed pointless to have a member of staff fill your plate from the breakfast buffet instead of doing it yourself. Certainly there was not benefit from a hygiene / COVID-19 perspective to do this. The first room we were given had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. We mentioned this to the reception and we were immediately offered another room.
Good location if you are taking the ferry boat from Brindisi. Safe parking space. The room has a reasonably good standard - no thrills.

United KingdomFor our purposes it was all great - nothing else was needed.
Have to admit I wasn't expecting much for a port hotel but we were pleasantly surprised. The decor is quite 90's looking but it was all maintained very well and it was clean and comfortable. The rooms were a very good size and had a very comfy bed and was very clean. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say was the location is not great if you want to go out in the town of Brindisi. The hotel is located in a bit of a ghost town of the port and warehouses so you definitely need a taxi to get to the town but if you want a hotel to access the ferry going to Greece, it is a perfect location. We stayed with our two dogs and they were very sweet with the pets.
