Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The Breakfast is very repetitive
Its my 5th time to stay at Star hotel ritz Milano. The hotel is comfortable. With excellent links to Public transport and in Corso Buenos Aires

The hotel is in a good location and of a very good facilities. It rates 4 stars but I would rate it 5- :) I was traveled with a family and got a family room. We asked for a quite room, and it was really quite. I would underline the good nose protection, if the windows are closed you hear no noise from the street. The stuff is very friendly and always ready to help, besides speak perfect English. The hotel has a parking for additional charge. Also there are a small gym and sauna on the 8th floor. The breakfast is good enough and has a lot of options like gluten or lactose free, that might be important for some people. The location is also good. You can reach the center in 25-30 minutes walk or in 10 minutes by Metro. Near the Hotel you can find a small supermarket and a lot of restaurants and brand boutiques. In a walk (5 minutes) there are metro stations of red and green line. So transport logistic around the city is very easy. Definitely I can recommend this hotel for stay in Milan.

No indication to height of carpark available...just had to hope for the best. fyi...our 2.05m van only 'just' fitted.

We nearly paid twice for our stay? Seemingly dodgy link was sent via booking.com asking to authenticate my card prior to the stay. When I did this, my bank contacted me with fraud suspicion due to this link. I had to get a new bank card! In person, they asked for my card details for the same purpose, I paid cash instead and all was okay in the end.
beautiful hotel, lovely breakfast and great value for money. really good location too, close to metro stations. Aside from the one mishap during the booking process, everything else was amazing with this hotel, definitely worth the stay!

It was hot in the city. A pool would be perfect!
The room itself was lovely. It was clean, sheets good. Mini bar worked / was cold. Air con worked well. Front of house staff very helpful. Location is great from the main road and easy access to Duomo. Also only two quick metro stops or a short cab ride from the airport.

Well-furnished, comfortable room with easy access by public transport or walking distance to the city centre. The reception was nice, especially Franklin who gave us restaurant tips in the area. The terrasse at the gym has a nice view. There is also a Turkish bath to use free of charge. Perfect after a long day of exploring the city.

The hotel is located away from the centre of town
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-furnished. The giant photos of Milan on the walls add a nice touch to the decor. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay
