Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAlthough the facilities were very fashionably designed some of the small practicalities have been overlooked, such as a lack of hooks, hangers, cupboards and shelves meaning having to live out of one’s suitcase.
Stylish decor, exceptionally good bathroom, great location in the heart of the city, wonderful breakfast with helpful staff.

Only a few rooms, but perfect. Adjacent to the cafe run by Michelangelo who manages the inn. Breakfast is whatever you choose from the varied treats in the cafe. Splendidly clean and comfortable rooms!

United KingdomThe room was exceptionally comfortable and stylish with fabulous bathroom facilities. Located in the central square of this quaint town above an exceptional patisserie where a tasty breakfast was provided, Michelangelo provides great accommodation. All the staff were friendly and helpful. All facilities were clean and fresh and I appreciated the fabulous bathrobe after freshening up in the luxury walk in shower. While Pietrasanta is a small town, we were able to enjoy relaxing in the local cafes/bars and also hopped on a train to explore the nearby Cinque Terre easily. The station is only 5 mins walk from the accommodation.

GermanyParking was far away & expensive by the hour of 24 hours. NB Hotel can't do anything about this. breakfast was rather sparse, because the hotel feeds you from a pasticceria. No big deal.
location on the main piazza - could not be better! warm & comfortable luxury suite? dunno... Nice place to stay once you get there

United KingdomNothing, it was fabulous.
This is a fabulous find. Our room and all aspects of the suites were beautifully clean and great thought had been put into the art and sculptures around the common areas. We were greeted with coffee and cakes from the cafe below and made to feel very welcome. The location could not be better with the lovely cafe /bar below and it outside seating affording a view over the whole piazza. A two minute walk to the station gave simple access to Florence, Lucca and the Cinque Terre. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and huge and the bathroom modern with a rain shower. Would recommend this to anyone

United Kingdomnot a reflection on the hotel but our room was directly above the cafe looking straight at the duomo which was amazing, sadly it was a Saturday night and the nightlife was very apparent with music from the cafe below and the bells from the church went on throughout the night.

Franceto my outmost surprise, no one in the comments warned us that it was not possible to sleep before 2 am and after 8-9 am. indeed, the hotel is located on the most touristic square of the town. Although you have everything nearby (restaurant, cultural sites, shops, the parking of the hotel…), it is also the area that concentrates most of the noisy restaurants and bars of Pietrasanta. And you hear everything from the room (the people talking, the loud music). in the morning, the square starts to be animated quite early. above all, the garbage collectors come to pick up the glass garbage early in the morning (around 8-9). another thing is that at the price of the night we expect the room to be made up every day. during our 3-day staying, we were disappointed to see that the room was not made up although we had put the “please make up the room” in the morning. in addition, the manager was not receptive at all when I went to see him in relation to this matter. nothing was done, no excuse, only a big smile and a “I understand”, with a tap in the back (this behavior surprised me, as if the manager had not understood my disappointment).
The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The bathroom was really nice and breakfast was perfect.

United KingdomVery noisy.. unfortunately it’s opposite a clock tower which chimes every hour even over night and has no double glazing! They do provide earplugs The late night reveller followed by the early morning bottle collection meant we got very little sleep with any sleep disturbed by the clock
Lovely room nice furnishings, luxury bathroom Nice communal lounge area!
