It was okay for us but the stairs to the room can be a challenge for some. Apart from that, the only thing we would change would be the fact that the shower was in the bedroom.

We ended up in a different room, which included a separate living room and kitchen. Although we didn't use the kitchen, we could see it was really well equipped and extremely clean, as was the rest of the apartment. The breakfast was good too. The hosts were really nice and gave us lots of information about Pienza.

Like many places in Italy, the building is old and the walls/floors thin. In the room above us it felt like they were having quite a party and we could hear the music (words included) and every single footstep. Nothing too major and it didn’t stop our sleep but something to be mindful of.

We loved the location. Located in a small side street in a small Tuscan town. The hotel was easy to find and get settled. We stayed in room 4, quite a few stairs up, and was greeted with a very spacious and comfortable room with fantastic views over the town. The breakfast was also a fabulous bonus. I would certainly stay here again.

We had the loft apartment, chosen because of the lovely photos on booking website. It was wonderful!!! The bed was so comfortable, it had a charming balcony with a gorgeous view! The owners paid great attention to the smallest of details which added charm and delight to the entire stay. A lovely breakfast was served to our room in the morning which was delicious. Truly, there is only one thing that I didn’t love about I’ll Giglio and that was the 51 steps it took to get there! But, I have to add, I’ve had issues with knees and legs, and I think for most able bodied travelers, it wouldn’t be a problem. It didn’t matter, I still absolutely adored this place! Last but not least, Andreas and Roberta were great!

We had a great time here as part of our wedding planning trip. We booked the room with terrace so we had the amazing views. We had the room that was located on the top floor with a beautiful well equipped room and bathroom (with bathtub!). The owner recommended us a wonderful restaurant that was open during off-peak season. Breakfast on our little terrace made it even better. We can highly recommend this place!

The location was absolutely magnificent, where we rented room 5 on the top floor, which had a balcony where we could enjoy breakfast and the afternoon sunset over the rolling hills towards the west, with the roofs of the town beneath us. Surely the best room in Pienza!

Breakfast was abundant but less quality products than expected. Bed sheet not in cotton are perhaps more energy saving, but less confortable.

The room was in fact a suite with kitchen and bathroom well furnished. From the windows the view was wonderful on Pienza Duomo bell Tower and the roofs of the town. Breakfast was standard. Warm bread was very good. Location just as described, near Duomo.

No parking. We had to park about 500 meters away. We were afraid to leave in the car since parking was hard to find. We were lucky to find free parking but most had to pay.

This hotel was right in the middle of town and made it easy to walk wherever we wanted to go.

The AC could not handle the hot Italian Summer. We turned it off, opened the windows and waited for the temperature to cool down.

A perfect place to stay in a beautiful location. Tastefully decorated in rustic style, each feature worthy of a photo. Gorgeous views over the rooftops and lovely breezes. Amazing location.

Very steep stairs to get to loft. No place to put shampoo and soap except on floor of tiny shower. Taking shower in tub difficult due to a low beam.

the building is kind old, has no elevator so carrying large suitcases was tough. and wooden floor easily makes creaking noise.

Just the confusion at first, where we are supposed to park our car. As it is outside of the walled city, and is public parking - that is free, if you know where to park.
