We liked Everything, no problems or complaints.

The House has a lot of charm and the suite we stayed in was lovely. The Host was a fascinating lady who spoke reasonable English. Breakfast was a good range of foods and they are flexible with tastes. The area is beautiful and a good place away from the capital (25 mins) to explore the East Side of the island. A friendly comfortable place to stay.

The breakfast was very limited and a bit disappointing - typical Sicilian fare of coffee/tea/juice and croissants and some fruit. Other options were available but had to be requested from the host who was then happy to provide. The quality of the food was generally not great.

A very traditional and comfortable place with a beautiful terrace for breakfast. Our room had a small balcony with wisteria growing around it which meant the beautiful scent filled the air around.

Like in all Sicily parking space is very limited, so drivers - do not rent a larger car :)

This is a truly special place for a number of reasons: location - close to Mondello but at the same time very peaceful, amazing view over the bay both from the terrace and the room we stayed in, the general vibe of the house, covered in wisteria and vine, tastefully decorated, cozy room with all the necessary facilites. But what makes it truly exceptional are the owners, lovely, welcoming, helpful, catering to your every need and doing everything to make you feel at home. I'd come back to Glicine sul Golfo in a heartbeat. Thank you Silvana, Francesca & Eugenio!

Upon check out the hotel team was not informed that my credit card was charged by booking.com before arrival. But they contacted booking straight away and the problem was solved very fast.

Silvana is an amazing host as well as the whole team. The property it beautiful, very authentic and unique. The location is perfect, 10-15 min walking distance from the beach and restaurants.

I am being extremely picky here, I have rated this property a 10 and it is however if it was to go to an even higher level they could invest in a new mattress in the room we stayed in, it was a bit soft and springy. Also I have an extremely sensitive sense of smell and it smelled a little dusty, now it wasn’t dusty the room was spotless but it was potentially from the age of the furnishings as everything is so vintage and antique including the room rugs

Nothing, perfect!

Breakfast was excellent as it was and flexible if you found something missing. Coffee, tea, juice, fruit, cheese, meat, bread, butter, homemade jams, pastries and access to eggs from the backyard hens if you'd like. Silvana, Francesca and everyone else helping around the house were wonderful! Like family. The location is perfect. Up on the hill overlooking Mondello town and beach. It's a 5-7 minute stroll to the main square and restaurants. There is a short, steep hill on your way back to the house which I was worried about because I have a calf injury but it was not an issue at all. I went up and down 3-4 times everyday easily. I loved wandering through the neighbourhoods and I felt safe as a solo traveller. Arriving back to the house felt like home. Comfortable, private, spotlessly clean. Cute dog and 2 cats. The gardens on the property are magical. Really worth wandering through. Overall, the entire experience was SO charming. Highly recommend!

Room very small. Generally not a problem for me us except it rained very hard and we needed to stay indoors all day.

Family is very warm and accommodating. Excellent breakfast. Good location, though you walk downhill to beach and uphill to house. Though taxi available and they will call one for you. Nice dog, Norma, and two cats.

Il Glicine sul Golfo offers a taxi service from the airport. Be sure to arrange transport from the airport in advance, as taxis at the airport are far more expensive.

My partner and I stayed in the apartment, which was spacious, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped with a kitchen, full bath, and a veritable library of Italian books; we wanted to stay longer! Mondello was our first stop in Sicily, and we are thankful to have begun our journey at Il Glicine sul Golfo.The entire property is enchanting; Silviana takes great care to make her home a relaxing paradise. In fact, her jasmine-scented garden is a work of art. The entire staff was attentive and friendly, and made us feel right at home with warm conversation and hot coffee. Breakfast was delicious and served on a terrace with the best view Mondello has to offer. I cannot recommend Il Glicine sul Golfo enough!

This property is up a long steep hill and even though we are regular walkers we found the ten minute climb a bit challenging, especially after sampling some of Mondello's restaurants.

This is a beautiful property with fabulous gardens, impeccable rooms with charming antique furniture. We were welcomed by our most charming host and made to feel at home immediately.

The hostess was delightful. The property was peaceful and beautifully maintained in an old old world style with a wonderful mature garden. Breakfast was whatever we wished and served on the balcony overlooking the garden.

The view from our small balcony and the terrace was breathtaking. The owner - Silvana put a lot of effort to prepare breakfast for us- we had delicious scrambled eggs from her own chickens and jams that she made herself. She is a lovely person!
