Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceThe owner furnitude very small room with double size bed. There was not enough distance in between bed and walls. In description was a pictures whith that room, but with small bed only! The toilet with the shower were aimed for us but they were in a public corridor. Administration didn't want to change the room for free. They wanted an extra 25 EUR daily. The walls were in black scratches. The doors creaked loudly. Area is quite far from the main sightseeins.
It was very clean. Mary in reception is very nice and friendly.

ItalyThe size of the room that it was was small so it was difficult. Also, the bathroom was not very modern and was in a separate room so we had to go out into the corridor all the time.
The perfect location for visiting Rome, not far from the Vatican and reachable in less than 10 minutes to the metro. There are many bars and restaurants in the vicinity of the flat. The neighbourhood is very quiet and the property is on a high floor

Sri LankaThe A/C remote was broken and the A/C had a very unpleasant loud noise every time we switched it on. The remote was broken but no replacement for it, we had to keep asking the next door person to burrow it. There is no sound proof system, it was really loud when someone came in or went out or even just talked on the other side. All the outside noises came as well.
The space, Bathroom, beds , location with a good view was up to our expectations. The staff was very friendly and nice and helpful. Loved the location, close by to many cafes and restaurants and just a 10 minutes walk to the closest metro, Ottaviano. All in all it was a pleasant stay and comforting.

ItalyRoom 1 is too small and the double bed occupies the entire area of the room. Very difficult to get around the bed. There was nowhere to put the suitcases, there was no place to open the suitcases. Everything else was good and clean.
Cleanliness.

TaiwanFloor was not clean properly as we can see dust at corner or under table(not sure if this is Italian term). The only table we can use is occupied by TV since wall TV was broken. The TV on the table isn't 100% functional(we need to buy battery for remote control and have to turn on/off TV at TV power instead of using remote control). shower room sink doesn't drain properly and no place to put our own shower jel and shampoo. Not many kitchen ware or cutlery can be used. Kitchen paper didn't refill daily.
Staff was very friendly and helping to guide us nearby stores but you have to ask questions yourself. The only advantage of this room is space. It is enough for two people to walk freely.

United States of AmericaI did not like the fact that I requested to be met at a certain hour and I had to sit on a staircase with my bags for an hour before someone met me. There was not appropriate communication nor could I call anyone. My messages through the Booking site were delayed in being read, of course, so a working number would’ve been helpful.
I liked the location and the building…it was quiet.

ItalyWhen we arrived I said that the room was different than what I had booked, the manager replied that I could go away if I didn't like it. Easy to say when you are in a dear city that you do not find another accommodation at the last easily and with right prices. The room was very different from the photo and very small, impossible to cross from one side to the other in a normal way. (Still in the retention they put the room that I booked, instead of the room that I really stayed!) The bathroom was out of the room, very uncomfortable.

AustraliaWe had let them know we would be there approx 6:30pm and gave our flight number. We arrived early at 6:00 and tried to contact but had no response so just waited until 6:30pm. No one came still so waited until 7:15pm and still no one. We asked someone living in the building where it may be and she gave us the number and when we went up and knocked no one inside answered. We then decided that having a 16yr old girl and 20yr old girl out in a different country that late at night that we would book another hotel instead. Tried again contacting and calling the person and no luck. Booked and stayed at another hotel instead. Messaged me at 7:30pm asking if we were here. Still tried to charge me for the stay but had already removed funds from the account. Not organised or reliable at all.

AlbaniaThe water pump was a bit noisy. It also take a fair bit for the shower water to heat up. Photographing guests' passports using a personal smartphone is a bit strange.
The room was inside an apartment with multiple rooms and a private bathroom. The room was clean, spacious and well organized. The bathroom was a bit small but it still had everything in order. The room is very close to public transport and in walking distance from Vatican city. The best part, is that the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, very helpful if you are visiting in the summer like I did. The only strange thing is that the receptionist took a photo of my passport with her personal smartphone phone, I don't know if this is legal or not in EU, but it feels suspicious to me especially after the GDPR regulations. This is the only reason I am deducting 1 point form my review. Other than that, a 10 would have been the actual rating.

GeorgiaWe had a few concerns from the very first day and was trying to get in touch with the hosts on WhatsApp / Viber / phone number, sent tones of the messages (you can find the screenshots among the photos) but they just disappeared after we paid the first day. The last day we were waiting for the host to give him a key safely (we also needed to stay one more night in case they had rooms) but the man never showed up. We were waiting until 12PM (while we had Check out time at 9:30 AM). We also called our neighbours and asked if they were in touch with the hosts. They gave us the number where the hosts still didn't respond. We also texted Booking support and let them know about the situation. Only after that we left the property because we had plenty of plans on our last day in Rome. We were in a shopping mall at another part of the city when the host texted me and requested to leave the room urgently where we still had our luggage left. Only then he / she told me that we had to leave the key in the room without meeting anyone and insisted that the man who met us explained about it to us when he met us. But the man who met us didn't spoke literally a single word in English. Finally we took a taxi and paid not a small amount of money to get to the property where our luggage (with my MacBook Air) was already thrown out of the room!!! This is insane. I strongly believe that the people like this have nothing common with hospitality industry. This is the factory-like attitude "pay and go!" Me and my husband spent the last night at the wonderful host very close to Colosseum and paid much less than at La Casa in Prati. Our host spoke good English, was accessible anytime and was very nice and friendly. I'm grateful to this person that I have an alternative example of what Roman hospitality has to be. P.S.
Well, the room was okay (still not very good) but the inadequate attitude from the hosts cover all the advantages the property has.

Sri LankaThis place is a scam and the owner is a thug who attacked me. I made a booking for 4 days from 25-29th. When I came to the said property no one answered the bell or the phone. I stayed outside in the cold trying to contact the owner for 3 hours. Finally I booked another place. when i tried contacting the owner following day again he blocked me, because of this I went to the property to request a refund, but here the owner assaulted me by slapping and pushing me down the stairs. I received a bad ankle injury due to this which ruined my much awaited trip across europe.

AustraliaThe pictures when booking where stylised - flowers etc, (But we only had the portraits). Quite disappointing with a basic room. Unclear if you got breakfast - NO breakfast - although there was a common kitchen area with a fridge, toaster. The TV was unplugged for a reason - It DID NOT WORK! My wife wanted to rest and watch TV a few times, ouch not happy. Any water going down the drain ... then a pump would activate and sound like a tractor. The walls were solid but you could hear through them as it would echo. Every night someone would put TV/movies full blast on at midnight till 3am. (Not from our B&B but behind our room no.3) I am a light sleeper - not happy. Luckily asked for the WiFi password at checking otherwise you won't see it written anywhere. - Booking says free internet but then the guy said it's $1 a day extra - I don't care about the $1 but its confusing and annoying (At least it was fast at 80Mbps) And to top it off it was one of the most expensive accommodation that I stayed at but not even 1/4 good as other places.
The very basics were there. Could use a common Kitchen.

United KingdomThis property doesn't offer breakfast, car parking or free WiFi as per their advertising information on Booking.com. Simply they are lying to get your attention. The T.V. in the room doesn't work. The bathroom is very old and making lots of noise everytime it is used as if there is a big pump there. Only one small towel provided to be used for everything. Spoke to the manager who stated that they never served breakfast and the WiFi is not free. He denied all the information on booking.com and stated that he wasn't aware of the description of this property on booking.com. Be aware of this accommodation.
