Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandThe host was very friendly and helpful and gave us good tips on how to get around. The apartment had everything we expected. Especially the rooftop terrace with unobstructed view to the bay of Naples was amazing. If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience, this is where you'll find it. Seiano is a small village, but there is an excellent restaurant (Degli Amici) right next to the apartment and a small food market, where you find everything that you need. Keep in mind though, that the apartment is located on top of a hill. Even though it is only a few hundred meters from both the train station and the beach, this is not the right place for people with mobility issues.

IndiaThe amenities, the location and just how the place is imbued with that authentic Italian vibe. My friends and I were pleasantly surprised to see just how spacious and thoughtful the house is, with all the memorabilia and other stuff stored all across. Plus, the kitchen was equipped with so many snacks that they help you on a rainy day. But beyond all that, the main charm of our stay was interacting with the hosts. Antonello was prompt enough to pick us up from a nearby station where we were stuck after the thunderstorm clogged up the tracks. He would take us through the region, talk to us about restaurants, bars, etc. and just made us feel at home. We would meet his brother, Mariano, later and he, too, was an excellent company to drink down some grappa on the enchanting terrace (which, by the way, has a nice view of the sea). The walk to the station might take about 5-10 minutes but once you figure out the operation, things will be quite simple for you. Sorrento is only 15 minutes away.

IsraelThis is such an incredible place to stay! We originally had looked for a place in Sorrento, not knowing much about the area and ended up choosing La casa nel costile in Soreno. This was the best decision and best part of our trip! The apartment is beautiful, spacious, full of history and exceeded our expectations. We were spoilt by Margherita and Umberto and treated to wonderful hospitality. The experience in the village itself is one of the real local life and while we could still take day trips to the hot tourist spots, being able to experience something more authentic was incredible! Highly recommend this gem!

United KingdomThe kitchenette was a bit small and could do with some more cutlery.
Fantastic apartment close to public transport - ideal for visiting Sorrento / Amalfi coast, Pompeii, Vesuvio, Naples. Lovely quiet situation, very spacious with terrace overlooking Bay of Naples - panoramic views. Good restaurants near by, and a great supermarket/delicatessen. Margerhita, the host, is a local guide, and has a lot of information about the area - speaks perfect English and can recommend trips and restaurants. A great breakfast selection, coffee and even a wine cellar of local wine! The apartment is a lot bigger than the photos show. Out of all the different apartments we had on our trip, this was by far the best.

United States of AmericaAir conditioner struggled a little. It was OK, but a little warm.
Margherita was a fantastic and warm host who went far beyond, helping us call a cab and even drawing us a map of her personal highlights of Pompeii. The breakfast and the espresso machine were lovely. This high-ceiling apartment felt very grand, and that doesn’t even factor in having breakfast or apertivo on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples. Everyone in Seiano seemed happy to see us, with the church bells chiming the half hours and the birds squawking at daybreak. We went almost everywhere on the Circumvesuviana. We were very active, going to Pompeii and Herculaneum, but if you’re looking for a peaceful place to do nothing slowly, that’s also on offer.

FranceBit far to visit the Amalfi coast easily without a car, but very easy to visit Pompeii and Sorrento
The accommodation was beautifully furnished, new bathroom and large terrace, on a quiet traditional courtyard. Much larger than we'd expected from the listing. A short walk to the train station (though the pavement is narrow at times). Local shop and restaurants were very good, also the public beach at Seiano, and all felt far off the tourist track. The icecream shop in town was a great recommendation by the host.

CanadaHonestly nothing bothered. Even the 100 yards to get to the Apartment were initially an issue, but I realized that how it is here, you have to walk pass few doors, balconies and windows of the neighbors, hear them chatting, enjoy their pleasant cooking smells and hear them chatting quitely. Amazing small village experience. Every one was so polite and smiling.
Location was excellent. Immersed in the small village life. had cofee with locals. The local church bells rings quite often, but I got quickly acquainted with it and I regulated the beat for daily activities like the locals.

HungaryThe beach is not suitable for swimming, but this is independent of the apartment.
Our hosts were very kind. The apartment was nicely renovated, big and clean. It was well equipped. There is a terrace on the roof of the house with a view of the Bay of Naples. There was cold water in the fridge, which was very good in the 38 degrees. We received coffee, tea, fruit, jam, and juice. The station, restaurant and grocery store were close by. The car was parked in a garage. I had very lucky, because there were 2 cm left to close the garage door. My car is 498cm long. I recommend to everyone.

SwitzerlandThe apartment felt slightly damp and chilly -- perhaps it was the season (mid April).
The apartment is very spacious. It is in a very nice location, beautiful but not too touristic. There are very good restaurants and shops nearby. The terrace (as seen in the photos) is truly gorgeous. Margherita is very friendly and always available, gave us several very useful tips. She also offered us a tour of Pompeii, which we can definitely recommend. All in all, a great place to stay to relax, and to visit Pompeii and the Amalfi coast.
