I had a problem sleeping which is never great on a holiday and wish I had known that agritourism didn’t necessarily indicate a hotel in the countryside. I was trying to stay away from the busy lake locations. It’s definitely calmer but I was surprised to find the building adjacent to another hotel (which hosted a wedding) and the other side was the main road from the lake. Beeping from delivery trucks in reverse began early - perhaps those could start to drive in a loop. The hotel was very understanding and we found a more remote place the next night.

The meals were lovely especially the porcini mushrooms which are in season. These days it seems many hotels have started to skimp on the soaps etc so it was nice that the hotel provided them. It’s close to many beautiful hikes and not far from the lake. Nice front lawn seating.

There came a very little water from the top shower head, sleeping with the windows or the balcony doors open is a challenge as the neighboring hotel is often used for weddings and other such parties

Delightful hotel in the hills above the town. Quirky rooms with original and very personal decorations. Our room (11) was really nice, had large bathroom and came with a long balcony that offered a view on lake Como. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, we had dinner under a tree in the beautiful garden. It was nice to have a coffeemaker in the room. Excellent breakfast.

Rooms were beautiful loved the decor lovely garden good parking. bus service to lake. Lino was great very friendly welcomed us even though we arrived early and restaurant was very busy but he got us drinks whilst we waited for room

We enjoyed everything about our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Griglia. The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. To top it all off the view from the balcony was beautiful as well as the surrounding grounds and the breakfast was delicious and substantial. While we managed to arrive with public transport it is probably best to stay here with a car. There is a lovely path down to Argegno but walking up could be quite strenuous! There is a local but infrequent bus that goes directly from Argegno to La Griglia (bus C21). To add to the above, the restaurant is excellent and I’d highly recommend trying the food and wine. La Griglia is a great stay and if I was to return to the area I’d definitely stay again.

Lovely garden to relax and dine in.The food and drinks are tremendous worthy of a Michelin⭐️ Staff were 1st class our French is terrible and they couldn't do enough for us .

This is a hidden gem. It is a very beautiful and peaceful place. Close to Como Lake without the noise from the road. We had a beautiful room with a balcony and view of the Como Lake. The staff is fantastic. We will be back :o)

Nothing.. but do know that you would need transport to get there (not sure if there is a bus), and its not in a town. It was perfect for us. Great area for cycling if you are fit, or have electric bikes.

We really enjoyed our stay in La Griglia. We arrived by electric bike and the owner was so good in ensuring the bikes got charged. It is quaint alpine style hotel. We were delighted we got upgraded and had a balcony with a Lake view. Beautiful old furniture in the room and amazing designs on the walls. We didn't eat dinner there as we arrived late. Breakfast was great. The hotel has a nice garden and plenty of parking. We spent a few days cycling around lake Como and are delighted we choice La Griglia as a stopover. The village up higher, Schignano is worth a visit. Such a scenic area and not too busy with tourists. I would highly recommend a stay here.

*not a complaint, just a suggestion* I want to give some suggestions about the restaurant. I think the information for the meal needs more marketing or promotion on google maps or booking sites. I am really regretful for not tasting the dinner, while the decorates look nice and smiles really good. The kitchen looks equipped. But the pics on google maps are awful. It seemed like not a restaurant or osteria but a weird old common area. It even did not look like they would provide decent food. Before I booked the hotel, I tried to search for the menu and nothing showed up. If you provide more information about the meal, I would definitely try yours!

The service and reception are perfect. I love the appearance and warming vibe of the hotel. The view of the room is lovely with the balcony. Everything is beyond my expectation. However, the price is a little over my budget.

The hosts and all the staff was very nice. We enjoyed a good dinner and wine in their restaurant. The location was quiet and that is what we were looking for. The big plus was a private free parking.

Quite far up the hill from the town.

A unique and cosy spot. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the whole place felt very homely and well kept. Breakfast was great, with lots provided!
