Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaInternets a little slow, but this is pretty standard for Italy.
Felt like an all inclusive hotel, complete with swimming pool and in-house restaurant. The parking was handy also. A premium in Amalfi!

AustraliaQuite an old hotel but seems typical Italian style. Bed was springy but fine for one night!
Absolutely Incredible view, basically of all of Ravello from the other side of the hill, room was small but everything we needed for one night. Cute little breakfast and a friendly staff! Nice pool area! Although the shower was small it was the best water pressure we have had yet for Italy!! Also the first place we could actually park our car without paying and a drama.

AustraliaLocation was too isolated. Older building, small room, very cramped bathroom. Fridge was on but not cold, Staff were totally disinterested with this issue. Not value for what we paid. If we had our time again we would have stayed across the valley in Ravello.
Pool and view.

SwedenThe bathroom is old and extremely small, not practical and dated. cheap and not nice toiletries ( we actually went to buy a geldouche to the store!) The pillows are the worst ever, hard and old. There is no way to buy coffee or a beer out of opening hours. Pool open 09-18 only, so you cannot really enjoy it unless you stay in the hotel and in this case is a public pool: Plenty of families, guests from other hotels, groups of youngsters jumping and splashing, friends and family from staff are invading the space: not a 3* hotelpoll. During daytime the reception staff is in the pool with friends so you have to chase someone to get your key.. again: wrong category for that price.
amazing views, friendly staff, free and easy parking but it is overpriced. Category 3* for that price have better installations, more privacy for hotel guests and better service in general.

CanadaBed was quite uncomfortable in 15. Shower curtain and drain. Drinks by the pool were quite expensive but worth the convenience. €7 for a Virginia mojito is quite a stretch.
The staff were spectacular. We felt like an addition to the family! Views were jaw dropping. Pool was well kept and such a nice feature to have and relax with.

United KingdomWe paid for a superior double room with a terrace and sea view. Upon entering the room we noticed that the room didn’t match the photos online. In addition, we had no terrace, nor a sea view. Instead a very small balcony to hang washing but no seating area. Also the view was overlooking gardens. We spoke to the manager at reception who stated we had booked a standard double room and we’d actually been upgraded to a superior double room. In addition, that the pictures of the room online were from a nearby hotel that they also own (hotel la margarita, villa giuseppina). We asked the manager if we could move/pay to one of the other rooms but they said that they were all full. We understood that the pictures online wouldn’t exactly replicate every room. However, we specifically paid more for a superior room that had a terrace and sea view. We feel that we actually had a standard room, that contained none of the features we had paid for.
The pool facilities, breakfast and members of staff were very good.

AustraliaI felt like the place was haunted. The breakfast could have had more warm options as we mostly had boiled eggs and croissants with cold Meats. The bed was extremely hard and felt like you were sleeping on the floor. The rooms were very limited, no working mini fridge, no tea and coffee with a kettle, no clean towels only that they made the bed everyday. Very small. You wouldn't want to spend more than sleeping hours in this room.
We liked the look of the villa and the fact that it had a pool, which was great for hot days.

NetherlandsVery friendly staff. Service was great! Our room was perfectly cleaned everyday. The view over Ravello was breathtaking. It was only a 15-min walk to Ravello. Would really recommend to rend a scooter from ‘Ravello Rent a Scooter’ and discover the beautiful amalfi coast.

The property is in the ultimate location. Based in a little town of Scala. It is inbetween the hotspot locations. Just a 20 minute Walk to Ravello. 15 minute bus to Amalfi (the bus stops in Scala and costs just €1.20) runs every 30-60 minutes. (Perfect option instead of driving into Amalfi) Then Buses from Amalfi into further towns on the cost. And ferry’s over to Positano 😌 Very clean and friendly staff. Breakfast is served 8am and presented with a smile from all. Lovely selection of traditional breakfast. We managed to try the hotels restaurant in the evening for dinner, and their dishes were lovely! So fresh and full of flavour. Lunch menus involve pizza and salads and other options, which were perfect for the days we spent by the pool. We had such a lovely stay after our road trip, the hotel was calm and relaxing. It was clean and kept tidy. The pool over looks the most stunning view and the hotel room views are better than those in Amalfi town itself 😳 Age range of us 25-32

AustraliaThe only down fall was been so high up in the mountains , you had to either walk 15 to the bus or taxi which gets really expensive.

IrelandDon’t want to say anything bad about my stay as I had a great time in this hotel and would definitely recommend it, the aircon was a little loud to have on at night was the only thing but it was manageable.
Good price and amazing location. The views from the balcony, pool restaurant were just surreal. The hotel was extremely clean couldn’t of been happier with it. They really take care of the place with gorgeous flowers and veranda walking into the hotel it was very picturesque outside. The people who run the hotel were so friendly and welcoming. The older lady running it was just the nicest person and the staff really made our stay. The food was lovely and so fresh. The room had a fridge, small tv, hair dryer and they gave us towels to use by the pool. One of my favourite holiday accommodations I’ve had.

AustraliaThe rooms itself are really old fashioned, but as long as you don't mind the old look, it's an enjoyable stay.
Such a hidden gem! We only stayed here for one night after arriving late at night on a vespa. Check in was really easy and it was great that we were able to arrive late at night. Stunning location with breathtaking views. Breakfast was fantastic!

United KingdomThe pool was closed all day Sunday due to the hotel having a big wedding. With this being a short stay and no notice given for that closure, we would have chosen another hotel.

FinlandThe reason for privaty wedding, the swimming pool was out of oder. And the swimming pool was the only reason why we’ve chosen this hotell. Big disillusionment. Wi-fi connection is very, very poor around the whole hotell. The room (4th floor) was very old and the bathroom smells bad.

RomaniaThe hotel is located in Scala, a small village at the top of the mountains that offers a breathtaking view over the city of Ravello and the beautiful Villa Cimbrone. Ever since we arrived, the hosts welcomed us with a coffee and croissants and helped us throughout our stay at the hotel. Everything was wonderful during this stay, perfect cleanliness in the room and in the hotel, delicious food, breathtaking view, clean air, quiet. Breakfast and delicious coffee served on the terrace are a good start to an excellent day. The hotel offers generous free parking, which is a big plus in the area because generally parking spaces are limited or paid in the Amalfi Coast. The pool is clean and the hotel provides free towels for the sunbeds. The hotel is 5 minutes from Ravello, and 30 minutes from Amalfi (by car). You can also travel by public transport, but the road is more difficult, it is full of serpentines, and for those who have motion sickness, I recommend renting a car in Naples (it is cheaper). Everything was wonderful. Thanks to the hosts.
