Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was a bit of smell coming from the bathroom.
Very good position, comfortable bed, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. A special thanks to Laura who made our breakfasts special with her professionalism and kindness.

The only disadvantage of the room was old carpet covering on the stairs.
The location is perfect, in front of Castelvecchio, very comfortable two-storied room, with fully equipped kitchenet, clean. Breakfast vas very tasty, delicious pastry, fruits and coffee.

Parking has been fully, needed to find a parking outside. Egg boiling at breakfast has been a pain. Brekafast room very crowded - but the breakfast has been great.
Room very quiet as we had one to the inner side. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast with high quality. Location excellent, only a few steps to Piazza Bra.

In the apartment kitchen there is not enough seating for a family of 4 to have dinner all together.
It was a wonderful city break. Thanks to the staff, they were very responsive, we asked for a blanket for the stroller- they found a blanket, we asked for additional chairs- and they brought chairs. The staff at breakfast are simply wonderful, helpful women, thanks to the lady who cleaned the room, everything was clean and there was enough of everything. Breakfast is delicious, simple but has everything enough, good coffee. Location perfect in central.

The room was really nice. It was comfortable and spacious. I enjoyed the area and being right near the castle. It's easily walkable to the train station and to the center of the city.

As we wanted to sleep in separate rooms, the one of us who slept on the sofa bed was not entirely happy with its frame. Perhaps the sofa bed had been used several times, therefore the frame was flimsy rather than sturdy. A more solid sofa bed would have made the experience flawless.
The staff were friendly, supportive, and helpful. The location was ideal, and we would strongly recommend it to those who wish to visit Verona.

Prices were high for this property. Laundry service prices were astronomical. Luckily there is a drop-off laundry within 1km.
Great location near the palace. The staff was efficient and friendly. Great breakfast selections. Good valet parking.

Room was so clean. Location was fantastic. We tried to stay an extra night as the bed was so comfortable but unfortunately it was booked out. Location was great. Great Restaurant. Coffee was fantastic at the little place a couple of doors up. The staff were fantastic wanting to give us extra water for our trip when we left. We had a really good stay. Our car was taken away to be garaged and back the next morning waiting for us.

We liked everything you’d expect and more at the Verona House Aparthotel. The staff were some of the best we encountered on our Italy tour, especially Stefano but everyone was above and beyond friendly and helpful - also had excellent recommendations for restaurants. The location, within a few minutes walking of the Arena and the historic part of town, is priceless on a hot hot day when you’re able to go back to the hotel for a break. The room was beautifully decorated and obviously some thought put into the tasteful design - cannot fault anything. Would go back in a heart beat! Thank you VH Aparrhotel for making our stay so enjoyable.

Modern design, Comfortable bed. Very clean. Every thing you need for a short stay. Really friendly and helpful personnel. Good, varied breakfast. Quiet location right by historic castle on river. Ten minute walk to Arena. Lots of nice restaurants nearby.

Nothing, overall it is a good place.
Best location, right before the old town of Verona, but can be accessed by car. Every attraction in walking distance. Good breakfast. From the room we had great view to the castle, the only negative thing is the tolling noise of the cars on the old-town pavement, but this is the trade off for the good location. Public parking wasn't a problem on the nearby street.
