Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ColombiaOur breakfast did not include omelettes and more salty options as it did to other guests, probably because they were staying in the suite. It was difficult to go from the hotel to the city, transportation is not frequent, so we always had to walk in the road. It doesn't have restaurants or supermarkets near by.
It's a very cozy family house with rooms for guests. Interaction prior to our arrival and during our stay with Francesco, the main host, was very good. He was very responsive. Ángela, the hostess, was very caring and attentive (language was not an issue). The view from the hotel was amazing. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, with an amazing shower. Not having the view from the room was not a problem at all.

CanadaA fair bit of motorcycle traffic noise outside the front of the spot. Private Terrace was a bit small for two and would have been nice to have a bit more room for two chairs and table to sit out. Hot Tub closed too early. Would be great to have had it open until 11pm or later. The walls are thin so we were conscious of playing music or making too much noise.
Location was great. Room was spacious. Views of sea and mountain of Positano was awesome.

AustraliaRoom was a little dark but everything else was perfect
A great property! About a 20 minute walk to town but it’s a beautiful walk (I just wouldn’t recommend walking it with kids as it’s a walk along the road).

United KingdomNo negatives I can think of.
The property was exceptionally clean, well kept, the room smelt lovely and the bedding was always crisp and fresh. Angela was very attentive and always checked if you wanted your roomed cleaned or needed fresh towels. The pool was small but well maintained and cleaned daily by Angela’s husband. The breakfast that Angela offers on the terrace was always a highlight of the day. The spread was lovely and the view was beautiful.

AustraliaFacilities were minimal, there’s a hot tub but it’s pretty useless as no one wants to get in hot water during the hot days. It would have been really good if it was cold water in the tub for the peak summer to dip in. The outdoor shower tap was also broken when we were there.
We really loved our stay here! Angela and her husband were so kind and helpful and we loved the breakfast upstairs and the view was stunning from the balcony’s. Our bathroom was beautiful and air con was great. It’s a decent 15/20 minute walk into the town (& nearest food) but you’re obviously paying a lot less so we definitely thought it was worth it.

GermanyIt was a little far out from the town - not too bad it’s just not super convenient to go to town multiple times a day. If you need to change for example.
The view was amazing and the staff were very helpful and friendly! Even though it was a 20 min walk to town I liked that there were no stairs to the hotel and the bus stop is right outside.

AustraliaOur room didn’t have a sea view and was quite dark. It was a little bit out of Positano for the price but only a few steps from the main road.
Mrs. Angela was lovely and helpful with check in and breakfast. The room was clean and recently renovated. The view from the communal deck was nice.

CanadaSlightly far from town. About 25 mins to walk to the beach and restaurants on a very narrow windy road with lots of cars. No window in the room we stayed in.
This place was very cute and quaint. The staff were the nicest people I’ve ever met, offering us welcome drinks and personally driving us into town on our way home. Lovely view.

United States of AmericaWe absolutely loved our stay at La Sorgente del Sole! The apartment was lovely and very clean, and the views and common area were amazing. The best part was the hosts though, Angela and Nicola. They were incredibly accommodating and kind and we loved the wonderful breakfast each morning on the terrace. We also liked that we didn’t have to hike up any stairs with our luggage to get to the apt, and that it was a bit away from the total chaos of downtown. Highly recommend this place!

AustraliaThe staff were absolutely lovely and helpful. The location is great if you want to take a bus to Positano. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. The building has a jacuzzi and a nice balcony overlooking the view of Positano and the ocean.

AustraliaThere was a 50 euro for a late night check in, which was quite expensive as Angela lived in the apartment. I think 20 would make more sense!
The breakfast was amazing! We asked for fresh fruit and Angela made us a fresh fruit salad each day. She also gave us a welcome drink and was available to answer any questions:

United KingdomDepends on who is staying next door to you as you can hear them if they are loud.
Great experience. The hosts are fantastic. They greeted us with welcome drinks. I had not realised they served breakfast when booking which was a nice surprise. We usually walked to the centre, takes 20min or so. in comparison to the stairs you have to take if you stay in the centre, i would actually prefer this route.

United KingdomNothing. It was really really great.
This was the CLEANEST hotel we had ever experienced. Absolutely SPOTLESS. Room was a great size with a comfortable bed and all the amenities you'd expect (mini fridge, iron and ironing board, storage space etc) The shower was incredible. The views from the patio were fantastic of Positano and the sea and even better enjoyed from the hot tub. The location was great for being close to the town but also removed enough for peace and quiet. Getting down to Positano is either a 20 minute walk on a windy mountain road or the bus that stops literally on the door step. We opted for the walk because it was just easier as the buses run to a specific timetable. The absolute stand out of this hotel though is the lovely owner and how accommodating and kind she is. Really made you feel extremely welcome and looked after.

United KingdomWonderful experience. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious and the terrace has a stunning seaside view. The room was clean and spacious. Quiet and peaceful house about 15-20 minute walk away from Postiano, which made it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the town. The quietness at night ensured a good night's sleep, and waking up to the sound of the sea was a delight. The WiFi was a bit slow and the host did not speak too much English, but with the help of translation software, communication was not a big problem.
