Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe room and bathroom were a decent size, maybe a little too small. The bed was correct in terms of comfort. That would not stop me from staying at this property again.
I loved the place in general, the location was great and very close to the bus station. The facilities were great, there was a fridge with beverages (very thoughtful) and a beautiful terrazza. It was clean. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful.

MalaysiaThe bed was a little uncomfortable for me, everything else perfect
Location and facilities perfect for a short 24 hour stay - 6 to 7 minutes walk from where Segesta buses stop at Agrigento's bus station at Piazza Rosselli; its a 12-15 min longer uphill walk from train station . Uphill and some steep steps but manageable if you've got light luggage. It was not cheap but rooms in Agrigento are pricier than most of the 7 Sicilian towns/cities I stayed at. My small but efficient 1/F room (2 twin beds) was set up like hotel's, not luxurious and simply furnished but modern, quiet, clean, functional. Great bathroom/shower! Its just off the main historic street Via Atenea with great shops, cafes and cathedrals. There's no official breakfast but free yoghurt and coffee pods in a large dining area. The best part was wonderful hostess Marina who went out of her way to allow me early check in, and held my bags for me at checkout. She's considerate, genuine, warm and knows what tourists on the go need, plus gave me insider tips on restaurants and most importantly the shuttle bus schedule in and out of the Valley of Temples/Vale dei Tempi. You want the entrance closest to the Temple of Giunone on the east because you want to walk the valley (roughly 2.5 hours) to finish at the west entrance to shuttlebus back the shortest route.

United KingdomNothing - it was great!
Marina was lovely and very helpful. She let us check in early when we arrived earlier than expected. The property is very nice, clean and in a great location. The terrace was a nice bonus and we used it every day. There was free coffee, tea, water, juice and yogurt in the kitchen. I would definitely recommend it!

United KingdomWe loved our stay at La Terrazza di Carolina. It is spacious, beautifully decorated, very centrally located and with convenient parking options nearby. We were well looked after by the very friendly and attentive host who catered for all our needs, answered all our questions and recommended some excellent dining and breakfast options, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Agrigento left the most lasting impression on us and our teenage children have already asked if they can come back for a longer holiday and another visit to the brilliant restaurant SAL8.

AustraliaNothing to dislike - everything excellent.
Great location - eating places and shops at the doorstep and 5 minutes walk to train and bus station. Tastefully decorated and spotless room which was very quiet. All amenities in excellent condition. The air conditioning was appreciated as we had warm weather. The terrace was a lovely spot and the fridge was generously stocked with yoghurt, cold water and juice for the guests. We felt our stay was excellent value for money. The very best thing was the friendly and extremely helpful host Marina - she helped us solve our future travel problems and her advice and assistance was greatly appreciated.

CanadaIt was a perfect stay, book today!!
Our host, Marina, was a gem. She was attentive, helpful, and generous. She made sure the apartment's fridge was fully stocked with water (fizzy & still), yougrt & juice. There was also coffee & tea available. We were a group of 4 adults, and we felt the apartment was spacious and immaculately clean. If we needed extra toilet paper, shampoo, or towels, Marina was happy to provide them. The top floor of the B&B has a comfortable terrace, where we could enjoy our coffee in the morning. Our host, Marina, also checked in with us each day to make sure we were having a great stay in Agrigento. She gave us recommendations that enhanced the enjoyment of our stay. The B&B is centrally located on the main street, but it is still very quiet. Cafés, restaurants, and shops are just steps away.

Everything. it is rare for me to give a property a 10 and yet Marina makes this accommodation a perfect place to stay. She welcomed us with cold beer and a huge smile. She recommended a most amazing restaurant called Sal8. It is easy to find parking close to the room and it is located exactly where you want to be. a must stay!
