Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Not expected additional 10 euro for early checkout, it was not specified. The personal announced cost of taxi to airporr- 25 euro, while taxi driver took 40 euro explaining this was night rate. If it all would be announced in advance it would make overall impression much better.

Although it appears near to FCO airport, we had a lot of challenges getting a taxi to take us there in the early hours of Saturday morning, as they prefer to service the Rome area.

The hotel was just what we needed for a visit to the Roman site at Ostia Antica before heading to the airport and home. Clean and well located, with a handy bar for breakfast, nearby restaurant, supermarket across the road and easy parking. A nice little terrace was a good place to sit out and watch the sun go down - and enjoy the wafting scent of pastries from the nearby bakery!

Bit of road noise.
Great location. Lovely helpful staff. Near cheap restaurant and opposite supermarket. Well located for Ostio Antica.

A bit complex process of getting to the apartment, but not a big deal. Beds could be more comfortable. Annoying that you cannot leave windows open because of the cooking smell coming from the restaurant.
The location of the apartment is great if you are going for the Fiumicino airport - this is the important information.

Perhaps a check prior by management into any small maintenance issues (eg: shower screens)
Good breakfast, handy to Airport, all staff very accommodating. Comfortable room, although the shower screens needed attention. Great little Bar and adjoining garden area.

Not the fault of the property--but I thought that being closer to the airport would make it easier to get there. However it was hard to get a taxi to get to the airport.
Well managed. Nice rooms. This place is about half a mile (and so walking distance) from the Ostia Antiqua ruins and Ostia Antiqua train station. And relatively close the airport.

Nice clean room, no issues at all during our stay. There is a busy road next to the building, but we had a room facing away from it and there was very little noise. The "bar" downstairs is great for breakfast, then you can take about 50 min train ride to Rome.

Everything! Place, town, streets and the the STAR of the town( Ostia Antica is one UMBELIAVEBLE local to visit!
No breakfast was included in my stay BUT they’re located between TWO amazing facilities ( restaurant and bakery) both with perfect services for who decide stay at this hotel!

Blanket was rough and scratchy like a curtain. The removable shower head was disconnected from the wall. Had to hold shower head in hand to shower.

Being a very light sleep road traffic was a bit much for me but acceptable. English in this area a very is limited but they were glad to work through me knowing no Italian
very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is attached to a bakery. There is a nice restaurant next door and grocery across the street. There is a 2000 year old port city archelogy site within walking distance and a pharmacy that was able to provide COVID test documents need to reenter the United States of America. The close proximity the international airport was the biggest attraction for me but a 20 minutes taxi is needed to get there.

Not easy to reach from the airport, taxis won't take you because it's too close and they want to go to the city. Reception is in the bar and a little but messy.

dont have any staaff there interphone not working first you in a bsr and take the key.one and half hour i wait for key.after i walk about 50 meter on the road to enter for room.entrance is very bad.morning 8:30 one knok the door fir check out and ofter 10 minuts again knock the door for check out. I say ok wait for check out sge say no quakly check out i was very very disturb stay here next time if you give me stay here without money i dont want.
