Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Honestly nothing. They exceeded my expectations.
Comfortable bed, spacious room, they kept my luggage for free as I toured Florence. I highly recommend. Very close..like 5 minutes walk from the train station.

The room was fairly cold. I think the radiator was turned off, and there were no rugs or carpets which made the room a bit colder. There was absolutely no noise reduction, we heard everything that was happening outside our room, on the corridor (gotta mention our room was the closest to the entrance). The bathroom is shared among all the rooms and is right next to the reception, which felt really weird tbh. The occupation of the bathroom and the toilet (which is unfortunately not separated) didn't mean any problem now since there weren't many guests in the hotel due to winter and covid, but for this money we had higher expectations. Also, the staff spoke no English so we would have been in a situation of we needed something to be fixed.
The location of the hotel is excellent, everything is literally max 5 mins away. Everything is really clean, even the bed was made after us when we left to go see the city. The shower within the room is an unusal concept, I'm not sure yet whether I liked it or not.

Weak WiFi signal,which sometimes disappeared.Although at the router it was good.It would not be bad if a small kitchenette was available...
Quiet room with balcony,located in the heart of the city.Close to all sights,shops,railway station,tram.Room with a private,small,but comfortable bathroom.I was given all the keys-it was undoubtedly very convinient!Special thanks to Mr.Graziano,who is really a great host!

Woke up in the morning by sounds from the hallway, but perfectly fine for a short stay.
Really nice place, only a few minutes away from both the central station and the city center. Easy to get in touch with the receptionist. Everything went smooth.

The Bathroom was old with a bed smell coming from the toilet. Towels made of synthetic plastic instead of cotton.
The hotel position very close to the station. Fast check-in and check-out. Low price for a private room with bathroom.

Rate should have been better considering the size of the room and facilities.
Staff were really good, only problem was with shared bathroom.with Family sharing bathroom is a challenging. Too expensive for that price.

We chose the room with a separate bathroom. It wasn't too bad. The bathroom is right down the hallway and we never had to wait long for others to use it. They keep it very clean and orderly. They also provided shampoo.
Convenient location next to Florence train station. Easy walk to see the Duomo and other central sites. Very walkable city. The owners were extremely friendly and open to talking with us. They took great care of us.

- the place is really old so the room we booked looked bad too - the bed was bad - the room was really really small - not very clean - strange towels - the biggest issues was for sure the heating. We were freezing… we couldn’t use the AC either. Definitely won’t come back, the price was too high for what this accommodation offers. In January you can’t stay in a place which is not properly heated. Might be ok during the summer but for sure not during the winter. Intrigued why the reviews are so good. Was maybe the worst accommodation we’ve ever had.
The location is great. Stuff is great.

It was a little cold during night but this wasn't hotel's problem. This can happen in any property because of Italy's heating system
The property was really clean. The host was the kindest host ever. It was really cozy and comfortable. We had a private bathroom and shared toilet but it didn't feel like shared toilet it was ours. Everything was really clean. We had a coffee machine. It is really close to train station and city center. We walked everywhere. The lobby was really cute.

Maybe the street crowd because it’s on a main street and you would hear the people talking while walking and the cars which pass on the street but it’s ok the same it wasn’t too noisy you can manage
Location is excellent! 9 minutes walking from the train station Santa Maria Novella and the staff was very friendly and supportive

No staff available for most part.
Proximity to Firenze Santa Maria Novella stazione is a big plus but there are several hotels in locality so do check and book.

Noises could be heared from the nighbour room and from outside.
Clean budget hotel in Florence city centre, 400 meters from the Dome, very friendly and helpful staff. It was perfect for my needs (one night stay for running Florence marathon). The staff was very kind to keep my luggage after check out and let me use a shower after the marathon.

Bit expensive for what it is, but I understand it is due to location and Firenze is not such an unexpensive city anymore. Lots of noise in the morning by 8am but it seemed to be on the street/building and not due to hotel's fault.
Pretty nice stay, in the reception they were very nice. It was possible to leave lugage before check in and after check out. Choose a large bed and that was what I found. Private WC which was nice. Location was perfect.

It took a loooong time for the water to get hot in the shower. Microfiber towels. No extra pillows. An electric kettle but no tea bags or instant coffee. The staff at the desk seemed distracted, mostly just concerned that we pay the room tax before we left. Not what I expected from a Rick Steves guidebook recommendation.
Located near the train station and within walking distance of cathedral. The bathroom is up to date. It was clean.
