Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The location in the old centre was perfect and from there, it's a short walk to most of the sights. The apartment was beautiful, modern, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

United States of AmericaLecce was our base for the Salento coast. Michelangelo BB in Lecce far exceeded our expectations! Michelangelo (and his staff) wowed us with his attentiveness, kindness and generosity of spirit— as well as his business acumen. Can’t beat Michelangelo BB’s prime location — a two minute walk from the magnificent Basilica Santa Croce. Within short walking distance to everywhere. Spacious King Suite apartment with ample room, high ceilings, very comfortable King with extra twin(s) in sitting area and amenities. Excellent value! Michelangelo welcomed us — with complimentary aperitifs at the Jewish Museum Cafe (which he co-owns) right across from the basilica. Michelangelo’s travel company (with prior planning) arranged for us a private tour of the stunning Salento coast. It was the highlight of our visit. His travel company also offered us a complimentary tour of Lecce. Our visit to Lecce and Salento was spectacular — a big part due to Michelangelo! We hit the jackpot!

United States of AmericaThere was nothing that we didn’t like.
We loved everything about this B&B. Fit 4 woman on our Road Trip very comfortably. The apartment as you see in the pictures is tastefully done. We loved it. Our host went way beyond and his kindness was incredible. The breakfast was at a restaurant around the corner and was full breakfast and delicious. The secured parking was about a 7 minute walk which was great knowing your car was safe.

Easy to walk to the many interesting sights, restaurants and cafes. Located on a quiet lane, a short walk from a busy piazza. Very friendly staff helped us with finding parking and getting familiar with the area. The walking tour offered was fabulous and informative.

Everything!!! From the location to the design to the amazing owner, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Lecce. We also got a fantastic free tour of Lecce and the Jewish museum. The owner also helped us book a tour of the towns in Puglia (with a discount). We also had dinner twice at the Jewish museum, which the owner also owns, which was delicious. If we come back to Lecce we would stay here in a heartbeat. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you for everything, Michelangelo!!

From the time we arrived, Michelangelo could not have been more helpful, meeting us at the parking he had arranged and helping with luggage, organising a walking tour of Lecce and a Salento day trip. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and roomy. Breakfast at the cafe was more than adequate and staff friendly. We would and will recommend this B&B to everybody, it was superb.

NetherlandsThe WiFi didn’t work for 2 or 3 days of the 6 days that we staid. But i also have to be honust about this matter; on the second or third day we mentioned it to Michelangelo. So he didn’t knew.. As soon as we told him he did everything to fix it!
Breakfast can be better; there is not to much options and basic things like fresh yoghurt, granola and pancakes are not on the menu.

Lovely apartment in a great location - lots of lovely bars and cafes nearby. Comfortable beds and separate room for the kids. Daily housekeeping was lovely - they even left us little cakes etc which was unexpected - and breakfast at a nearby cafe included was also fabulous. Michelangelo also arranged parking for us nearby and even came to collect us from the cat park to show us the way when both our phones decided to stop working!
