If you want do to some sightseeing around, then you need a car. Oldwell is pretty much the only hotel with a restaurant on the beach.

Breathtaking views. Perfect spot to spend a holiday with family and children. Cristal clear water. The room was as in the pictures on the site, clean, good water pressure and very good air conditioning. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Except the new rooms everything is old and the exterior was looking bad all the plants were dead , looks like nobody cares, because is the only hotel on the beach in Tropea travelers will come anyway

The beach , and the girls working in the hotel , the one in the reception help us to get a better room at lease for 2 out of our 3 days stay and make our stay great. Also the 2 Argentines girls bar and restaurant, the Argentine clean lady was super nice too all of them great customer service that the owner didn’t have

Room was a little “worn”: plug on the wall broken, toilet seat broken, towel rail broken, shower door broken…it really is the small things that can make a big difference at the substantial price level!

The hotel was difficult to find, there are no visible signs for the property to help guide you in. Luckily the staff was able to give us better directions on the phone.

The hotel is situated on a spectacular beach. The staff was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. It is a very casual hotel...accommodations were very basic but clean. Breakfast was good, plenty of selection.

unfortunately there was a very noisy family in the room with an adjoining door but that is not the fault of the hotel.

The view from the beach bar terrace was beautiful, our stay was very early in the season so the beach was practically deserted. The host was very friendly and generous. the bedroom (an economy room, so fairly basic and no private terrace) was clean, spacious and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. a good sized bathroom with good shower pressure.

I wanted something on the beach since my husband has mobility issues but still needed to climb down steep stairs to get to the beach and he was not able to do so.

we asked for the prices for a late check out and they wanted to charge for 3 hours half of what we paid for our entire stay (with breakfast) - quite disappointing. decor of the room. mini fridge super small.

A few steps from a cristal clear beach. although the room decor looks outdated the shower was great and the bed was comfortable. breakfast also great although not self service. clothes rack.

Shower facilities can be maintained better.

What a surprise! Outstanding spot! 7 minutes away from Tropea. With stunning sunset view everyday. The beach is right in front of your room. The food from hotel’s restaurant is good, we had twice meals there. Breakfast with nice view, you could have expect more. Hotel staff and the lady boss are all very nice and helpful. Next time we will come back and stay a week here, doing nothing but enjoy the beach. The hotel has only 10 rooms, so you better book early.
