Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It was very cold. There was no warm blankets. The bed was not clean. We could see hairs from other visitors
The location was good and the staff was nice to us even though we checked in at night. But the staff doesn’t speak

Elevator is accessable only with a member of staff. So you need to go from 3rd floor down to 1st floor to Asi for a lift. Recepcionist was smoking at the reception desk
Rooms are clean and comfortable in great location. 10 min walk to the Colloseum, right at the metro station.

Looks a bit shabby from outside but clean and comfortable inside. No breakfast but plenty to choose from nearby
Location is excellent, close to some really good restaurants, buses and metro. Easy walk to Colosseum.

There was no mention in the description that AC costs 10€ extra per day. It barely worked which was quite annoying.
The staff was very lovely and helpful. The location is amazing, very close to the main station.

Blanket is a little old and need to be changed, but the heating is strong so you dont need a blankets.
For that money you have more than you need: great location, cleaning every day, clean towels, new bathroom, nice host. If We want to come back to Roma We will Stay in this hotel again.

The hotel was dirty. The front desk staff was rude and not one bit accommodating. They kept our passports at check-in supposedly to make copies and never gave them back. The next morning we were flying back to the states the door to the front desk was locked and closed and we were unable to retrieve our passports as the attendant was asleep. When we called the front desk on the phone from they act as if it was not their problem and would not help. It was a horrible experience and I would recommend Bookings.com reevaluate their relationship with this hotel.
The proximity to the Coloseum was not bad

Although it is clear it is a very old building, it is absolutely value for money. We had chosen it for its vicinity to Termini and the Centro Storico but also because it was really economical. While at first sight it seems old and grey, the good thing is the behaviour of the staff - both men at the reception were really helpful, polite, smiley. Also, despite the fact that the rest of the room was plain and old and it showed, the bathroom was new and very clean , something very important for me. Another advantage is the 24 hour reception. Thank you! You gave us what you promised :)

There is no refrigerator in the room.
Very helpful staff.The men at the reception desk were vere nice. Big and clean room! Excellent location. Near to Vittorio Emanuele metro station.. At the corner there is a nice cafe that you can eat delicious cornetto and drink coffee!

Very toxic man on the reception (perhaps he is owner). The first person we talked to in Rome was the person at the reception in the hotel. Left a bad impression of the city as a whole. When we have arrived he gave us some documents to sign in Italian. I don't know Italian and I kindly asked what is this papers, what rules we should to sign? Answer was short: "take you passports and go away if you don't want to sign!" Is it ok to give answer like that for travellers on this simple question? I believe no. The photos of the room are not exactly the same as in the photo. The room actually looks older. The windows overlook a busy road, noisy.
Close to the Colosseum. Close to the main train station Termini. Close to the Metro station.

Door to shower could have been a little bit bigger...but I squeezed through.
10 min walk from Colosseum. 2 min from metro. Very nice people working there. Good beds.

The bed felt like it had old mattresses, not very comfortable. Also quite a bit of noises from main road under the windows. Apart of that all good.
The two men at the reception were highlight of the hotel. Always welcoming and smiling. (Can't say the same about other Italians we crossed in Rome ). Hotel was perfectly located with 12min walk to Colloseum and 2min to metro that will take you within 30min to Vatican. Was clean and cozy. Good WiFi connection.
