We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

CanadaWe had issues with the air conditioner being cold. The host was very responsive and willing to help but we were only there for 2 nights and didn’t want the hassle of trying to get it fixed.
Very comfortable stay at this hotel. Loved the centralized yet quiet location, right next to the Sassi.

A perfect stay in a perfect location with a perfect host. We could not have asked for a better hotel when exploring Matera. The hotel is centrally located at the top of the town with easy car access, so you don't have to lug luggage up windy staircased streets - yet you are still a 5 min walk from both the top and the bottom of Sassie (old town). The hotel is right next to one of the best overlooks and a piazza that is always full of life. Our host was extremely accommodating and helpful with absolutely everything. Rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, sparkling clean, comfortable and include a complimentary breakfast a block away at a cafe and local taralli (hard crackers), water and a bottle of wine. The hospitality was amazing!

Beautiful big and comfortable room. Spotlessly clean. Lovely bathroom with a fabulous shower! Our hosts, Antonella and her husband were so helpful and friendly. We appreciated the lovely wine and snacks in our room when we arrived. The location is excellent to visit the old town and restaurants nearby. Would recommend the Soul Kitchen - especially their Panna cotta!

GermanyWhile this is a fabulous little hotel, guests should be aware that there are no amenities or facilities (not even a simple breakfast). We were given a coupon for breakfast which we could use at a cafe nearby — which was fine.
This is a great little hotel. We stayed for two nights and, as we arrived with a rental car, were especially happy about the location. There is ample parking on the street outside and yet the old town of Matera can be reached in less than a minute by foot. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

The property was incredibly clean. I don’t think i’ve ever seen a hotel batgroom as clean before. Felt right at home, hotel owners left conplimentary wine, coffee and water in the room. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. We arrived a little early and were able to leave our back packs at the residence and were given great information about the city and places we must visit during our short stay at Matera. Location of the residence is right by the most picturesque spot at Matera, which was great for taking pictures in different light! Overall, Matera has to be seen at night, and Palazzo Montemurro is definitely the place to stay at!
