You definitely need a car to start your day trips to the beach and cinque terre.

Place is great, really close to the Monterosso, which is an advantage. Hosts are really nice and serving good food. Location is in the middle of the high hills, which gives a nice view from the garden.

Nothing- we would recommend it to friends and family.

Excellent staff, the lady was fast in responding to messages and very kind. Room was fine, clean and nicely decorated. The place is a bit offside, we used it as a base for starting our race bike cycling tours along the Cinque Terre roads. The path to get to the house is a bit steep, narrow and bumpy but we easily made it with a VW T5. Parking space is big enough. Nice breakfast as well - especially the coffee.

Breakfast could have been better. But man! The road to the place is just crazy, especially if you have a bigger car. With lowered car just forget it.

Clean and quiet room

The booking said a car was recommended...it should have said it was absolutely necessary. A bus dropped us off half way and we walked in high heat with our luggage up and up hills. Normally, I love to hike, but not with luggage and excessive heat, and no air conditioning to look forward to when arriving. Opened the slider at night for air and had mosquitoes and other insects flying around our room. Thankfully, another family took us to dinner(no options at the house or within walking distance) and deposited us in Monterosso the next day where we stayed for the remainder of our time.

It was a typical small Italian breakfast, breads and drinks.

The hosts originally wanted to charge us a 20 euros late check-in fee because we were arriving after 17:00. In the end we did not have to pay it, fortunately. Breakfast was a bit basic.

The Wi-Fi was basically inexistent. We were informed that in the garden works better, but we had no luck so we relied only on our provider for this. Although most of the dogs likes me, 2 of the 3 dogs on the property were very aggressive at some point of off them was very determined to bite me, so much so that he lashed on me. My luck was that I not got scared and I stood still. when he jumped on me, he tried to bite my hand, but I was aware of it and pulled it back in time. In the meantime, the owners reacted only when they saw that the dog is committed to bite. My opinion this is kind of late, The access road to the house is very narrow and the vegetation on the sides of the road has over gowned so much that the car was wider and the grass and branches touched it on both sides. Luckily if you drive slowly, you will have no damages. Nevertheless I think this would be not such a big deal to trim the road sides so also looks a little bit more decent.

Rooms were big and it was very quiet so for people seeking to relax could be ideal.

There were two dogs, both very protective. At two occasions they were barking and did not allow us to move to the apartment buildings. We had to wait for the owner to calm them down. There was a humidity in the room, our clothes were a bit wet from it. There was no wi-fi in the room.

The wifi was not working the first night. Didn't really have any running water in the bathroom the first night too. It was far from the main areas and you need to either call a taxi for 40 euros one way or rent a car. Renting a car should be a required not a recommendation. For the tourist tax/fee, other places I stayed at asked for it or charged me during check-in, but I was not asked to pay. I also was not told to pay it when check-out time came or that I need to go up to check-out. Other places I also stayed at said to leave the keys in the room, so I basically did the same thing and left. Got a message from the staff that I needed to still pay after I left. They couldn't charge my credit card. So, I had to figure out a way to transfer the money to them. Either they should've charged me during check-in or say when to pay like other places.

The staff fixed broken stuff in a decent timely manner.
