The location is amazing. All of restaurants and cafes nearby. Also few mini markets. Host Francesca and her husband are extremely nice and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. If you stay few nights that’s the best option. 10mins walk from termini station

The walls were too thin we could hear everything the next room were "doing" all night. It made our last night miserable unfortunately.

Franseca and her husband were fantastic and super helpful!! We felt like it was our home. The location is great quiet and decent, next to a lot of nice restaurants and walking distance from attractions.

No negatives, besides a small elevators but I’m a really big person so I assume the elevator is normal for everyone else.

Excellent location: quiet, safe and walking distance to the Rome city centre. Very nice restaurants only 2' far from the hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and the hosts very polite and always available to help and provide information.

The location is perfect - walking distance to Termini station and most Rome attractions. The room itself was very clean and spacious enough with everything we needed. I always worry about the bed when I travel. The bed was excellent with a good firm mattress (but not too hard). It was warm on cold rainy days as there is heating. Francesca and Walter were excellent hosts- friendly and ready to help. They suggested a very nice breakfast place 4 minutes walking distance and we ate there every day. I will miss the place!

The window of our room overlooked a courtyard, resulting in limited natural light and a dark ambiance. Additionally, we found the room to be equipped with only the bare essentials, and the furnishings were somewhat outdated. Lastly, the room lacked soundproofing, and we could hear the conversations from the next room

We had a pleasant stay overall. The room was clean and spacious, featuring a recently renovated bathroom, which was a definite plus. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, readily providing us with helpful information about the city, which enhanced our experience. Moreover, the neighborhood proved convenient for travelers like us. While not situated directly in the city center, it was close to the train station and within walking distance of several key attractions.

With what shall I start? First of all, a big THANK YOU to Francesca and Valter for the birthday surprise! They left me speechless ❤️. When it comes to the accommodation, our room and the entire unit were extremely clean and welcoming. Penelope Holiday is very close to the city center, which made the experience even better and less stressful. Bus stops, shops, (really good) restaurants are nearby. Thanks to Francesca and Valter’s recommendations we got to eat the most delicious (& cost effective) italian dishes. Once again, THANK YOU for everything and ci vediamo presto!

Our room was a little small.

The facility provides great convenience in transportation. Very close to bus and metro. The facility staff shared everything, good or bad, about Rome with me. Ms. Franceska was very attentive and cleaned the room every day. I can say that it is a perfect price performance hotel.

Kind, friendly, and helpful hosts who pointed out some important information on how to get bus tickets and how far the place is from key attractions. Room was as advertised, was clean, and they even gave us free bottled water every day. It was located very near some restaurants and cafes too, which made meals much easier.

There was a recurring annoying sound coming from the courtyard, which I guess you get used to. Not the most comfortable bed but still more than OK.

Shower was extremely small. Lighting was limited to bright overhead or low nite light. Not sure if breakfast was included but it was not offered.

Was lucky to book this a week in advance. The Ryder Cup was in Rome so everything was busy. Was within walking distance from termini. Hostess Francesca and her partner were very helpful and informative. Made us reservations a a wonderful restaurant within walking distance. Elevator to reach room.

Exceptionally clean place, and the couple owning Penelope Holiday is just lovely. They are warm and friendly people. The location is very good if you plan to visit various parts of Rome - it's not far from the city center, closer to Villa Borghese than to Colosseum. Major landmarks as well as Vatican City can be reached within ca. 20-45mins walk. A few great gelaterias are nearby - Gelateria la Romana has one of their places nearby, and Latte located 5mins away sells absolutely masterpiece artisanal gelato. Ask Francesca for recommendations and you won't be disappointed

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The owners/reception were amazing!! They were incredibly informative, they gave us great recommendations and were extremely inviting and friendly. The room was spacious for the 2 of us. It was cleaned everyday and there were fresh towels each time we requested. It is a great location and walking distance from the termini and various other sights! We really loved our stay here and if we ever find ourselves back in Rome, we know where to book! Thank you again.

The shower was quite small and the room itself also felt a bit crowded for 2 adults with a bag each.

The staff were very helpful and polite. They gave lots of recommendations and advice on where to go and how to get around the city. The room was very clean. Beds were comfortable.
