Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomEverything about this villa made for the perfect escape in the Tuscan hills but still close to Florence. The staff were extremely kind and helpful - especially George who went out of his way to make my stay wonderful.

CanadaAll was good, nothing we didn't like.......more of a suggestion. It would be a nice option if dinner can be served there as well for guests who don't feel like driving and want a simple "home" cooked meal will be nice treat! Maybe offer dinner cooking classes for small groups of guests in the future!
The setting and location of the villa is away from the noise of the city but close enough to get there in 15 min by car. The staff are all friendly and engaging from the start to the end. A very complete and fulsome breakfast the next morning with a good variety of sweet and salty. The suite was beautiful and tastfully done and strong wifi!

United KingdomThe location means it's not very easy to leave or move around to the city without a taxi (which can end up being quite expensive!) - the taxis are better booked in advance at the front desk as they otherwise take a long time to secure. I recommend hiring a car if you intend to move around the city a lot.
The Villa is absolutely stunning and impeccably maintained. Its location in the hills gives you gorgeous views from all sides and the interior architecture, decor and historical artifacts are beautiful. It felt like a private residence most of the time because it wasn't so busy which was very nice. The staff were all so lovely, professional and very helpful.

United KingdomBeautiful hotel in a lovely location. The staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Easily one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Sitting by the pool with a refreshing glass of Chardonnay in the late Tuscan sun is as close to perfection that you can get

CanadaEverything was really good, you will need to use a taxi or car to get around as it's on top of a hill if you want to go into town.
The room was amazing and large. At least 12foot ceilings, matching tasteful furniture, reflecting the old villa nature of the hotel. Everything I expected for a hotel in such a famous area. The pool was great, breakfast was fresh, clean and very good.

United States of AmericaWe stayed during a hot week in July and the AC couldn’t go lower than 76 Fahrenheit so it was hard to cool down.

PolandA bit of walking to the closest gastronomy (15-20 min.). On one side it's nice to stay a bit away from the village (Grassina) on the other You need to plan Your dinners - good to book a table in advance as in the high season it is really crowd☺.
Good location - 10 min. by car to Florence city center. Convenient access to the highway enables a lot of possible trips through Tuscany. Great, picturesque facility and hospitality of owners. If You search for high quality stay in a quiet area this one is really cool.

NorwayNot much to note, but certain rules were a bit inflexible. We were not allowed to eat / drink food in large areas of the property (both indoors and outdoors). This even though the what you could buy to eat at the property was quite limited, and there was a lot of different sections with seating and tables around. This is a small change that would make the stay much more flexible for us and increase the impression further, especially travelling with kids.
Fantastic property, rooms, service/staff, pool area and great breakfast. We were a family of 4 that stayed in the junior suite room, sleeping two adults + one 5 year old in the main bed and 2 year old in a cot (that was available without any additional cost). In this room it was also an option to pay for preparing the sofa bed for sleeping. Our room had direct access to pool area. During a very warm period in Florence area, this was a perfect stay for us, a bit outside of the city of Florence. A few notes: - Possible to order in food in / take away (great for us having small children going to bed early). - You will need a car for a flexible stay here. Approx. 15 min by car to Florence.
