Friendly & Helpful owner who even gave me a ride to the train station. Basic but good breakfast in the garden. Location not in historical town center which is easy accessible by climbing some stairs. Therefore close to the harbour. In summer even an advantage to be out of the vivid town center in a calmer neighbourhood

The walls in the hotel are quite thin - we could hear the housekeeping staff starting their work at approx. 7:00 am every day. This for us was quite minor - but the noise can be quite jarring. It is something to be aware of, but didn't negatively affect our stay.

The staff could not be more accommodating - they volunteered (for free!) to pick us up from the train station and took us to the venue where we were attending a wedding. The breakfast was also quite good. The location is very close to the beach which was a great plus for us - but travelers with disabilities should be aware that to get to the old city of Tropea you must either take a taxi/car or go up many many stairs - this is not a negative for us, it was more than manageable.

The location is 3 minutes from the port, in a very quiet area. The building is newly renovated, with nicely furnished rooms. It has air conditioning in the whole building. Very clean, the bed is made and towels are changed daily. Each room has a small balcony with a table, chairs and a rack for drying towels. Abundant breakfast, served in a very nicely arranged garden. The staff is very polite and kind. As a thank you for staying one more night with them, we received a bottle of sparkling wine. The bed has a comfortable mattress, but the bed frame is basic, so entire bed shakes at any movement. We will definitely come back.

Very Good location - close to beach , local shop with everything you need for your holiday. Very close steps to historical city. Also very close to port for daily trips. Accomodation very clean, beautiful scent everywhere. Excellent breakfast and very kind and helpful owner Carmelino and staff.

The walls were a little bit thin and you can hear what other people are talking in the room next to you.

Very good location, 2 minutes walk from a small remote beach. The hosts were extremely welcoming and made us feel like home. As for the breakfast, it was absolutely wonderful. Our room also had a big balcony, overlooking the city center. There is a safe parking space on the street in front of the building. We will definitely come back.

Free parking at the door, easy flat walk to beach, clean and very modern (new), excellent breakfast (best we've had on our travels), nice friendly staff, we tried to stay another night, but they were full. Good value for money. This B & B is on beach level, you have to walk up to the Historical Centre and all the good restaurants. It's beautiful up there, no parking and very expensive in comparison.

It was all fantastic. To note it is at the sea level so will involve trips up and down stairs into the town. There are also tuks tuks.

This really was an extraordinary find, a real treat in our extensive travels. The staff were so helpful, to the extent of giving us a lift up the station when we left. The room was perfect, clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and fresh. I can't recommend Porta Romana enough.

Well it's rather a suggestion, it would have been nice if there was a kettle in the room to make some tea or coffee.

Beautiful spotless clean and modern place. Carmelo and Christina were so very helpful. The room was a very good size. Breakfast was excellent. Once l asked for strawberry jam and they didn't have. Next day they gave me a jar of strawberry jam 😁. Parking was just outside the place in the street. The hotel is small and very close to the sea and port. The centre is 10 mins away either on foot or go by car. I would definitely love to go again. Thank you so much Carmelo and Christina for everything especially the candle😊
