The location was absolutely beautiful & the property had its own historic charm. Amazingly fascinating interiors! Literally felt like staying in a castle. The staff was extremely helpful & upgraded us to a suite! Also gifted us their homemade honey

The castle took you back in time with a modern excellence. The amenities were exceptional and the rooms elegant, welcoming and comfortable. The views were breathtaking. The staff was kind and friendly. It was truly an amazing and unforgettable experience.

My husband and I fell in love with Schloss Freudenstein and wish we could have stayed longer. It's a stunningly beautiful facility, and the exceptional dining and friendliness of the staff made it a stay we'll never forget. I'll recommend this to anyone going to the region.

The castle grounds and facility were beautiful, as was the view. The rooms were huge and castle decor incorporated original antiques which added to the authenticity of the castle experience. The staff were genuinely friendly as well as incredibly helpful and attentive. The restaurant was excellent. All in all a wonderful experience and I will definitely go back for subsequent visits.

It's confusing when you first get there as to where to go. You need to call the reception so they will lower the bollard for entry. Food was very good, both breakfast and dinner. The wait was too long, particularly breakfast. This is only a small thing.

This is a beautifully renovated Schloss. I would love to come back again. Beds very comfortable. Views from one of the front suites is spectacular. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is very interesting inside the castle with stars and halls in all directions. A layout map would be good. We are so pleased we found this experience.

Everything was outstanding and far exceeded our expectations!

The breakfast buffet was outstanding! Delicious, with a huge variety of foods and beverages, the service staff were all amazing and friendly. We were amazed at the castle updates, decore and surrounding area!

wow! an outstanding experience in an amazing castle. It felt like living a few centuries ago. you can walk around the castle freely, amazing view from the windows. the room has the most comfortable bed, clean and soft towels, everything with the castle’a symbol on it. the crew was very kind. breakfast was serves in a fancy dining room. there was an unbelievable verity of food and everything was so rich and tasty.

One very minor things: The instructions of how to enter the premesis were only in German, google mistranslated it and we found ourselves stuck out for a few minutes.

Don't hesitate, close it. Unbelievable return for the price. The place exceeded every expectation, it is as beautiful and as unique as seen in th pictures and more. The staff was remarkable and breakfast was as good as it gets - but served in a setting so unique that it made it an unforgettable experience.

Absolutely everything. From the location to the staff to the views to exploring the castle, this was one of the best hotels I've stayed in - and I say that after travelling for work multiple times a month for more than half a decade.

A prefect place , to end our northern italy roadtrip ! The castle is breathtaking, the view and the surroundings make it even more unique ! And the staff is by far the most welcoming I have ever met ! Everyone was super friendly, without every giving you the impression that their kindness was just a show. Simply very nice people !! I almost forgot to mention the great breakfast ! Delicious ! (Didn't know that a breakfast can be so outstanding... but it was !)

I can't think of anything negative to say. This was really 10 points property for me (as opposed when you score a property 10 but more because the owners were so nice and were making lots of effort, but it was more 8.5 or 9)

The location is just perfect, above the vineyards and with the view on Dolomites in the distance. Short drives or walk to few pretty villages where you can eat and have a drink. It's also a good base to discover Merano and Bolzano as well as the surrounding area (there are few really nice lakes not too far away). Our room was very tastefully furnished, with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was perfect and there is also a nice swimming pool at the property. The host was incredibly nice and made us feel very welcome. We only stayed for one night but we would definitely love to to come again for longer.

Schloss Freudenstein was such a beautiful place! The owner was very friendly and accommodating and gave us a small tour around the castle showing us the different areas which are old and new, and the design which has been beautifully done! Our room was the smallest one available, however it was perfect for our needs for one night (of which we wished we had stayed for at least 2!)! The bed super comfy, and the modern bathroom was great! The views around the house are stunning! And the breakfast was very tasty!!

Very unique and incredibly beautiful castle stay with amazing views of the Dolomites. The staff was very accommodating and very helpful. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The restaurant was extra nice and the inclusive breakfast was some of the best food we’ve had in Italy.
