To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

We did not have breakfast there but the hotel was amazing, the hotel overall is very good decorated, the room was spacious and very comfortable, the location was also very good, the lady in reception was very kind and helpfull so if we travel again to Paris I would really like to stay again here.

EstoniaOnly thing we did not like, that booking had wrong pictures in room descriptions, showing wrong city view and big windows what you dont have. That was confusing. But this is Booking problem :)
Hotel was great, staff was really helpful. We did like location, it was near shopping street and most tourist attractions was in walking distance. With location we where really lucky :) Room was nice and spacious with walk in closet. I would book it again.

RussiaI booked double standard room for one night because I saw big beautiful windows on photos - and the light in the room is very important for me, cause waking up in a dark room is challenging for me. when I arrived I saw a tiny old room with a tiny window that with a view of back side of the building, with no light and the closet was full of their trash - old heaters, woods, rags, everything is dirty! helooo, I don’t want to have a trash closet in my room I’m paying for. when I contacted reception and said that I booked a room with windows like on the photos yuh have here on booking. com, they told me that “we have many different standard rooms and this is all I have now”. so, guys - if you have DIFFERENT standard rooms - please be kind and let people know before their book your hotel. cause the room I stayed in was not even close to the price I paid for it! btw the manager had a better room in the main building but he told me to pay extra €30 to stay there. maybe someone can tell the staff that it is very important to help your guests if they don’t like the room and change if it’s available so your guests are happy and recommend you to others. very bad!
