Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe WiFi was a bit patchy on the days we were working from there. Recommendation: don't work remotely and enjoy the surroundings ;)
The views and location are wonderful, vineyards as far as the eye can see. A beautiful, calm and relaxing pool area, great bbq facilities and perfectly equipped for groups. The attention to detail and care taken for the grounds, flowers, etc is unbelievable, bravo to the gardener! And Rosita was lovely and very accommodating for the two babies in our group, providing cots and high chairs free of charge.

The location was perfect - beautiful surroundings and well-positioned for day trips to Siena, San Gimignano, Castellina in Chianti etc. The apartment was very comfortable and well-equipped. Rosita and Chris were extremely accommodating of our two small children - providing two travel cots and two high chairs. We loved the swimming pool which was incredibly well maintained. It is a short walk from the apartment, but this was great for us as we didn’t have to constantly worry about pool safety with the children. We had a brilliant time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tenuta la Cipresseta to others. I hope we’ll be back!

NetherlandsThe walk to the pool was a bit slippery, the stairs are renovated at the moment. It is a climb, but a really sunny place to enjoy the pool. Initially we could not find the road to the location, it's around a corner up the hill. More marks would be helpful.
Location is great. Rosita is a warm person and at help. We were the first visitors of the season after COVID. The property has been renovated, new pool interior, painted. New facilities etc. The grass was just seeded. Really nice. We used the interior fireplace because of chilly evenings. Wood was delivered at service.

LithuaniaBefore reading this part, you should take into account that we were out of the season (end of March - beginning of April) and it was quite cold weather. So the review in most parts is probably more relevant for the ones traveling off-season. So I have to say that the place did not really meet our expectations. We were mostly staying there as I was working remotely and we only travel on a weekend. We wanted a quiet place but the first two days when it was still warm outside and it was possible to stay on the patio, the owners were making some construction works in another apartment so it was not that peaceful. Then it got too cold to be outside anyway. The apartment was not warm and it was difficult to make it pleasantly warmer. There are gaps at the outside door which just lets the heat go and the wind blows through. The floor was cold as well. We were told that we will have to pay for the gas we use for heating but we still put the temperature to 22 degrees, but it was not pleasant to stay in, we had to have many layers on. In the end, we paid 75 euros for heating for 1 week stay. When it rained, the water go into the apartment through the door and our shoes got wet. So be careful not to keep valuable things close to the door. There were ants that were going into the apartment as well but that might be normal in many places like this that are located in a forest almost. And we also got beaten by some insects while staying inside the apartment (maybe the same ants). It would have been convenient to have more cutlery as we ate most of our meals there. Also, the wifi connection was not that great outside on a patio or even in another room, just in a room where the router was. This was our experience, however, I believe that in summer it can be very different when the apartment being cold is actually helpful and when you spend most time outside anyway. And I believe they will not do any constructions in high season so we were unlucky about that.
The location is really great for a relaxed vacation. It has nice views and peaceful nature around, you can go for walks to a village close by, where there were two playgrounds for the kids. The views should be extremely pretty in summer as all the vineyards start to get green. The location is also great in terms of being 1 hour drive from Florence, 1.5 h from Piza and 30 min from San Gimignano. So it's possible to see quite a lot while staying there. And in summer with the swimming pool open, it should be even more relaxing. The hosts are helpful :).
