Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Great location. Surrounded by restaurants, bread shops etc, and a 5 min walk to the Vatican. It was about a 15min walk to the nearest Hop on Hop off bus stop.

PolandEverything was fine.
Daniela's apartment near the Vatican is a perfect blend of convenience and tranquillity, just 300 meters from the walls but tucked away on a peaceful street. The spacious and well-equipped accommodation, coupled with Daniela's warm hospitality and helpful recommendations for local spots, made our stay incredibly enjoyable. With fantastic eateries and a lively market nearby, choosing Daniela's place again would be a no-brainer for any future trips to Rome.

United States of AmericaNothing to speak of, but just a note that I personally reserve a "10" rating for the absolute best hotels/apartments/boutique hotels that we ever stay in. This is a solid, comfortable place that my whole family recommends and we'd stay again if we have the chance to come back.
We loved the location (felt calm, safe, walking distance to key locations including those close like the Vatican Museums & St. Peter's, but also close enough to walk to Piazza Navona/Pantheon/Trevi...we walked everywhere and use the metro to get to the Roman Forum). We really appreciated how spacious the apartment was. Having 2 rooms for our family of 4 made a huge difference. Beds super comfortable! Washing machine was handy! Very much appreciated Daniela, the host, helping us to drop off our luggage early before our check in time. We appreciated her suggestions for food/restaurants too!

RomaniaThe only downside was a bit of street noise in the mornings, which could be an issue for light sleepers.
This apartment was a convenient and comfortable base for exploring the Vatican City area. It was spotless and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering excellent recommendations for nearby sights and restaurants.

CanadaJust outside the old center of Rome. But we knew this going in so we were comfortable with the walk (15 minutes to the River) or using the metro.
Space. Space. Space. Great place to finish off our time in Europe. Teenagers had room to relax. The space was clean and well kept with lots of sleeping options. The owner was constantly in touch with us and very helpful. With a little bit of research we were able to find amazing walkable restaurants, pizza and coffee.

IsraelDaniela, just a great hostess! So provident, kind, magical! The apartment is perfectly clean! Everything you need is there! Super comfortable sleeping places! A lot of different pillows, for every taste, bed linen! It was important for me, it is difficult for me to pick up a pillow... Daniela has everything provided for! And what a surprise it was when there was a large supply of ice in the freezer! The location is perfect! I will definitely return there in the fall and I will recommend it to all my friends! P.S. If you sleep with the windows open, then early in the morning you will hear the amazing aromas of the freshest bread! Thank you, Daniela! I'm your fan!❤

United States of AmericaThat I had to leave.
Daniela the host was knowledgeable of the area and helpfully pointed out where and where not to go. Everything is as pictured. Kitchen was stocked with most everything needed to cook. Cleanliness was excellent. Beds comfortable. Good size living room to relax in and enjoy a meal. Having a washing machine is always a bonus. The balcony was large enough to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and soak in the sun.

AustraliaDaniella our host was super friendly and helpful. She allowed us to leave our bags at the apartment before check-in time as we had to checkout of another accommodation earlier. She even helped to organise our airport transfers for a very reasonable price. We were very comfortable in a lovely and well presented 2 bedroom apartment very close to the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica. There were several tratoria’s within walking distance.

United KingdomThe apartment was spotless and came with complimentary breakfast items, as well as tea, coffee and water. The Wi-Fi was very fast (200mbps specifically) and the beds were extremely comfy. The air conditioning was great and kept the apartment cool in the hot Italian summer heat. Daniela was a wonderful hostess. On arrival she greeted me warmly and welcomed me to Rome. She chatted to me about my life and was so friendly. She even helped me with a map of Rome and also planning a day trip to Naples after giving me the keys. I had an absolutely fantastic time at Vespasiano 49 and it’s location (right next to the Vatican City and Metro) made my trip in Rome so much better. I highly recommend this accommodation to everyone if the are looking for a prime location in Rome city centre at a great price.

United States of AmericaThe only thing that I found a little strange, is that there was a gate in the foyer that you needed a key to access on BOTH sides. There was no button you could push from the inside that would open the gate like there was on the main entrance. So, if you are traveling alone and you leave the keys in the apartment when you check out, you need to either ask someone in the adjacent hotel to hold the gate open, or you'd need to prop it open because if you don't or forget, you will be locked in.
The location was excellent with convenient access to public transportation/metro. We were easily able to get around Rome. It was also walkable to many of Rome's main attractions if you wanted to take a stroll. There were good restaurants, bakeries, and convenience stores in the areas as well.

BulgariaThe apartment is really well organized, the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the wifi is really fast. Not that you will spend a lot of time browsing the internet, because the apartment is in a really nice place, near the Vatican. On the street you can find a bakery and a nice pizza place. The host D. was the loviest person she had left us coffee, ready to be made and fresh water in the fridge. She gave us a map with instructions of what to look for and where to visit, some useful tips regarding our stay in Rome and was always ready to help if needed. I really recommend this place, it’s convenient for a group or a family.

PhilippinesMinor but in one room, you can hear the sounds from the bathroom. We also stayed there for 4 nights, would appreciate maybe a change in towels.
The property was lovely - perfect for a family of 4. Building has an elevator. Location is perfect - both Metro station and the Vatican city is about a 5min walk. Plenty of restaurants around it too. Daniela was lovely - took the time to explain the keys and locks in person, provides a map with key spots highlighted, and even regularly checks in on how we are. Very responsive. Would definitely recommend this property.
